Just don’t forget that there are two extremes, one in extremism and one laxness. Sometimes you need to be kind & patient, and other times you need to be firm & harsh. Especially when polytheism and innovation is being spread amongst the people, and committing shirk with Allah is worse than killing.

@shareefabuhajah3298 You are not disproving me, as I said there is a place for both. And your response demonstrates a lack of knowledge regarding the Qur'an and the Seerah of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم. It is an innovation to think that being harsh is unacceptable, as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم became angry at times. He صلى الله عليه وسلم also fought in wars, and both of these things are well known. Allah تبارك وتعالى says in Surah al-Fath: مُّحَمَّدٌۭ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًۭا سُجَّدًۭا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۖ { Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] pleasure. } The word which Allah تعالى used in this ayah "أشداء" indicates harshness/firmness. This is how Allah سبحانه وتعالى described "those who are with him (the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم). Refer back to the scholars of tafsir for a better understanding of this Ayah, especially at-Tabari رحمه الله تعالى. Also, understand that there are many Ayaat like this one.

@ I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing. In light of what you presented, how would this practically be applied as a Muslim living in a non Muslim country? What would my behavior look like when you say be harsh with the disbelievers?

@@shareefabuhajah3298 Be nice to those who are sincere or who don't know about Islam. Imagine being nice to the one who mocks the religion, or insults the Prophet.. Most of all don't live among non-Muslims

@@BUNDER74 I don’t think you understand my question. I asked you how would being harsh to the disbelievers look like, and you responded with a rhetorical question, instead of explaining what you meant. (“Imagine being nice to the one who mocks the religion”) It’s ok if you don’t know, just say it. But if you do know, id like to better understand what you mean.
