As a kid, I’d only had Breaking Point on DVD. But I would rarely watch it over what happened to Kadeem. It freaked me out as a kid, and even then made me sad something like that could happen to someone as cool as Kadeem. It was actually really what taught me as a kid that bad things can happen to good people.

Shit traumatized me as a kid. I was like "this is a kids show, characters can't be dead, right?". Oh boy was I wrong. It was a fate worse than death. And that was shown to me when wasn't even 10. That's one of the main reasons I avoided the whole Acceleracers series. The rumors about child abductions and strange white/black vans didn't help either. Not to mention I was pretty sheltered up until high school. So I missed out collecting a Hot Wheels series solely because of the fate of a fictional character. Cool.

I had to hide every time drone kadeem was shown on screen when I was a kid

Kadeem robot transformation was honestly the darkest thing in acceleracers! And honestly one of the darkest scenes I've seen in a kids cartoon! The scene starts off with Kadeem chained uped and getting interrogated by Gelorum, and you can notice that he looks a bit tired, probably was tortured a little before the scene happens. And then as Gelorum walks away, you can see some weird claw machine slowly approaching his face. As he shakes his head and screams no begging Gelorum to stop before screaming out her name! Then the next scene at the end of the movie, you see him with LED lights all in his face, with glowing green eyes, a robot arm, and legs, and a robotised voice! Not to mention a Erie theme song that plays everytime he's on screen! The fact that this was in a kids show is insane! He was mostly likely fully conscious as the machine rips out his eyes and slices off his limbs for robo limbs! I can only imagine the screams!

he got a similar story to Cyrax from Mortal Kombat, he lost his body and became a that yellow machine without his will

I felt the same way. I finished watching Highway 35 and then two years later, Acceleracers aired on TV. I was watching expecting a similar vibe, but was met with a darker and more mature story; bitter rivalries, Markie had a vendetta due to being locked up a prison, the racing realms had more danger to them, etc. Seeing what happened to Kadeem in the first film haunted me for a bit and had me thinking, "What did I just watch?" 10 year old me couldn't sleep that night.

Acceleracers is so much more than a simple “kids show” I don’t think the creators of this show we’re trying to write a show for kids. They were trying to write a good story about racing that everyone could enjoy. acceleracers and world race.

I think despite he was converted in a drone, kadeem still was there for someone reason he not tell her where is the acceledrome. He allowed kurt to rescue his brother and when he try to take it with him, remove his hand and throws himself, i think freed for a moment from brainwashing, because he not want hurt nobody and then immolates himself.

But in a way it kinds does not make sense considering the fact that his body's already a rotting corpse with brainwashing implemented in his mind realistically.

Quite nice video, I hope that you will get way bigger attention because you do deserve it :) Not many people discussed the topic behind Kadeem's "drone registration as unit by scratching his humanity" but most of the time just in general his fate. Sure we all can blame Taro but only Kadeem is responsible for himself to not listen to his elder leader of the village. What I only lack nowadays is just a discussion on some forums that could have revolve around more surgery/augmentation related stuff to Kadeem and how much of literal human has left inside.

I want the "real" Kadeem back. (As human again) I wish Vert Wheeler, the Accelerons, and everyone else can find a way to change Kadeem back to his original self again. 😔But sadly, it's not gonna happen, and never will. (Those "evil" Racing Drones will pay. )😔
