He didn't join Leeds until 1976 Don Revie had left the club by then and the players you said he played with had gone , what a load of rubbish, al so his life was not TRAGIC nor dramatic . His debut for England was in 1972 not 1975 , and the humorous kiss with Alan Birchenall was not his team mate he was the opposition , not to mention any more mistakes you have said in this vid Ha Ha

When I was a kid I used to have a pendant on my bedroom wall with a picture of TC in the SU kit and it said "Tony Currie walks on water". 2 memories I had of TC when he was a SU player was. 1: He would receive the ball just inside his own half and do long pass towards the corner flag, it always looked like he'd over hit the ball as Alan Woodward would sprint down the wing, however when the ball hit the ground it would almost stop rolling because like a golf shot, Currie used to put so much backspin on some of his chipped passes and 2: Remember when Currie used to take throw-ins, instead of bending down to pick up the ball, he used to stamp on the ball with the flat of his foot and the ball would just pop up for an easy catch in his arms. He was a real showman and extrovert on the pitch, however off the pitch he's the opposite and quite shy. He been involved working for Sheff Utd for a while now and even has the main stand named after him at Bramall Lane.

Birchenall was not his team mate. Birchenall played for Sheffield United from 1964 to late 1967. He left for Chelsea. Currie arrived at Bramall Lane in February 1968. Birchenall was almost as good as Currie. Both highly talented players.
