To kill that pet squirrel and that pet racoon like that, for no good reason, was just as insane as it was a case of pure evil and someone needs to go to jail, as well as having related wildlife interactions being imposed so that all of these people involved can't have any kind of interaction with any kind of wildlife or a domestic animal/pet for the rest of those people's lives. Something else that should be made very clear is the fact that while racoons have been known to be susceptible to rabies, squirrels have never been known to have contracted rabies.

Turns out this man was nursing this squirrel back to health & tried to release but was not successful. He then decided it would be better for the squirrel to be kept safe indoors. He didnt just snatch a squirrel from wild & not let it go. Rip Peanut

According to the CDC, there are less than 10 cases of human rabies & roughly 4,000 cases of animal rabies every year. That’s pretty rare. And why is it so uncommon? Because of agencies like the Department of Environmental Conservation, the Department of Health, & Animal Control, who strictly follow the laws & protocols of the state. Like they did here in the case of Peanut & Fred.
