The Tragic History of Boldt Castle/Gate 24 Travel

Hello, Grand Travelers! In this video, I share with you the backstory of Boldt Castle located in Alexandria Bay, New York, part of The 1000 Islands region. It is the story of George Boldt who not only chased the American Dream, but found it along with his beloved wife, Louise, by his side. But, as happens with fairytale romances, this one doesn't go as planned.

Visit it every year, always something new to see. Went there as a child in the 1950s. It was sad. Today it is beautiful, especially the gardens

I live 35 mi from there I wish they would make a movie about this but I know they would have to get permission from the family
