Even in the MOVIE King Kong never faced that many skull crawlers, but his DAD?!?! Was handling these lizards like bitches! Killed multiple skull crawler and Fought 4 off all by himself while his woman was giving birth in the midst of battle. Sad part he Didn’t even get to see his son. Kong’s dad went out gloriously and like any dad should for their family. Like a true beast. King Kong made up for his losses by becoming the king on that island and killing the queen skull crawler with vengeance.

I was just wondering, in Kong: Skull Island, it was said that Kong was still young and he had alot of growing to do yet, but in this comic all of the giant ape grown ups are the same size as Kong is in the movie. Shouldn't they be as big as Godzilla or a similar size?

The explanaiton is I think(which I read somewhere) that Kongs parents werent "fully" grown or mature specimens. Meaning that they were mature enough to breed but not fully grown. They simply didnt have time to grow up fully, yknow what with the war for survival and against the skullcrawlers and all that.

I always felt this aspect was rather ridiculous. Kong is an icon in more ways than one, it's not necessary to give him a Batman-like tragic past. His films already garnered sympathy due to how mankind has treated him in other films. While this is a different Kong, that sympathy is built into the cake as it were.

Kong is a teenager in Skull Island that is set in 1973 47 years before Kong vs Godzilla. By 1995 Kong nearly doubled in size. By 2020 he will be way over 300 feet. A Kong that massive will have outmatched godzilla in brute strength, his hands will be enormous giving Kong's hits a lot of weight behind them. . Kong is also very fast and much more agile than Godzilla. Kong can also weaponize everything he puts his hands on. Bridge lines as whips, trains/cars as knuckles, electricity pillars as spears. Godzilla should get ready to fight to death. Kong is one of those monsters that when enraged is very dangerous and is also one of the kaiju with the most versatile fighting style of all the monsters Godzilla faced until now which will give Godzilla a lot of trouble . Also I have a theory on how Kong can get his lightning abilities. Skull Island is enveloped in a hurricane at all times. The novelazation states that Kong is no longer viewing the show from the bench and goes outside to hunt. What if to get off the island he must go trough that hurricane? He could be hurt near to death at first but then he harnesses the power of the hurricane making him not only much stronger but giving him lightning like abilities. If Kong does get his lightning powers back Godzilla is in for one hell of a dangerous foe.

It wasn't the power of the skullcrawlers that took the Kong's down it was their sheer numbers. Reptiles have the potential of breeding at a much faster rate. Think about it this way. For every skullcrawler the Kong's killed three more took its place until eventually exhaustion and severe wounds would overwhelm and kill the Kong's. Also Kong's species wasn't fully grown yet. Because of the war with the skullcrawlers wich made the resources of the island very scarce and the sheer exhaustion from the battles. Also take into consideration that there was an entire species on an island of only 1000 km^2 or as big as the small nation of Dominica. A gorilla eats 50 pounds of food per day 1 /8th of its body weight. A specimen like Kong would need 19.75 tons of food PER DAY to maintain his metabolism so its likely that every ape barely got the minimum amount of food. And as shown in Skull Island a "Big One" is a formidable opponent for a still young Kong. Kong on the other hand has outgrown his entire species and will be leagues above them in pretty much everything. Size, weight, speed, intelligence, battle experience, durability.

the story is a good one... but... there's a major plot hole. babies need milk when they're mammals for a few months of their lives. where exactly would baby kong get that milk if his mother expired so soon after his birth? in all reality if this had happened kong would have died from starvation.
