I didn't like it that much and I'm a huge fan of Joaquin and dc comics (don't like marvel) I think it was a combination of the hype and we never get to see Joaquin as the joker. The joker is a super villain who orchestrates mass mayhem, the plot of this film has mayhem stem from the joker but not orchestrated by him just coincidence. Still a good film though. Heath ledger is simply unbeatable, he had such good lines to work with though "I'm not a monster. I'm just ahead of the curve"
@aftonrobotics19915 жыл бұрын
@@houseis Yea but this was an origin story. How can you just expect him to start doing mass murders and genocides and huge crimes before he even becomes the joker completely? I repeat myself, its an ORIGIN story. You will see him in full Joker form in the sequel. That's when he will possess the personality of the Joker. And no one is perfect. So please stop saying Heath Ledger is unbeatable coz the fact might be something else. What you or I believe is just a mere opinion.

Alternatively, I think it's tragic that his struggles are published for all of the world to see. I would imagine watching his brother die of a drug overdose in front of him had to have been the worst moment of his life. Yet anyone with Internet access could look up that 911 phone call right now and listen to it. Imagine having the worst moment of your life available for anyone to replay over and over again. I understand what you mean though. There are a lot of celebrities out there that get patted on the back for things that we struggle with everyday. I love his acting !! He looks so natural at what he does !! To hear that he still gets anxious when he is filming or doing a t.v. Or for that matter anytime he is acting is hard to believe !! I feel he is one the the greats & has a lot more to give us !! A very talented man !! He brother is another one gone to soon !!

Joaquin is a great actor, but even he acknowledges that he’s nowhere near as talented as River Phoenix was. River Phoenix would probably be larger than Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and many, many, many other actors.
@stephaniel28505 жыл бұрын
What's sweet is that I've also seen a quote of River's praising Joaquin's talent as way better than his- which I don't agree with (they were/are both incredible), but still really sweet that they admire(d) each other's talent so much :)

I love Joaquin Phoenix and I think he’s very underrated! He should of ran for an Oscar for his role in “We Own The Night”! That’s my opinion I think that was one of his best performances and god he was so hot in that movie!

Think about it, sometimes you can get children to quiet down for afew moments/minutes then the natural desire to be childlike is extremely difficult to contain for most individuals. That along with getting hungry, thirsty, and elimination are common things that children cannot contain for long periods without positive reinforcement or having the needs met. If the kids were forced to hide when the landlord showed up then one of the above became an issue for each child. Not to mention the fact if a landlord stayed for long periods they would be around when kids might be arriving home from school tired, hungry, need to do homework, etc. The landlord was determined to find out if they were breaking the rule of "no children allowed." The landlord figured if they stayed long enough then one of these instances was bound to occur then they'd have proof the rule was being violated. These were extremely traumatic experiences but sometimes our traumas make us more sensitive to how delicate humans can be and more relatable even to situations we have never experienced. I have no doubt the landlord knew children were at the apartment or might arrive there and intentionally made their presence known to punish the family.
