We all loved Murtagh & Jocasta, portrayed brilliantly by Duncan Lacroix & Maria Doyle Kennedy, their story was indeed tragic, as two beautifully suited characters should not be together because of Murtagh’s determined belief that he should fight the British Red Coats and their crippling taxes, thus ending in his untimely death! to Jamie’s disbelief and horror, as Murtagh died in Jamie’s arms and he was filled with uncontrollable grief! Guys I'm kind of confused. Didn't Murtagh love Ellen Jamie's mom ? So why the tv show made murtagh and jocasta have an affair ? Did he really love jocasta or ellen ?

Both. Ellen when they were young and now Jocasta who shares so many memories of Scotland.
