So, the Sorceress died by the Assassin, the Assassin left the order, the Barbarian lived and played a major role in the d3 events, the Amazon went back to her islands and became a War Matron, the Paladin most likely died by Malthael, the Druid most likely is protecting villagers from Goatmen in the wild and the Necro became a totall badass legendary master of his own order. yeah, and he doesn't say much about the enemies either. He plays it off as "I'm just a mortal, what would I know?" but.... he's the guy who's seen this shit. He's the guy telling you about it. In my first play I came to suspect it in the Horadric sanctuary. Ask Cain who the mage was... and he flat refuses to answer. @@freakytouchers Stil though, Cain's comments about Jazreth have a bit of a twist to them. My interpretation was he was... well.... possessed... or Cain suspected him to have been so. whole problem with D3 was basically Blizzard was already falling apart. Blizzard North was always worth most in a creative sense. I think D3 was nearly finished and then another team sort of remade that nearly finished product. Sort of what D&D did with GRRM's story, they oversimplified it, took out its heart and essence and tried to turn it into a soulless cashgrab. Something I always remembered: D3 didn't have a necromancer (initially) because the D2 necromancer was 'too succesful' (picked too often as a class). So most players find something awesome - better remove it... It says a lot many of us have our hopes pin on a remake where they had to promise not to change the game. Thank God they messed up Reforged first, at least now they have somewhat of a clue - not to mess up this one as well... Well, at least not as much as reforged... It's sad when owners of a company lose touch with reality and start believing in themselves. Happens a lot, sadly. A lot of managers make similar mistakes. A company is more than just money. It's a (paid) service. If you don't serve anything, there will be no money...

Now that it's revealed that Rathma (the 1st Nephalim and 1st necromancer) plays a big role in D4, I worry about Zul. Edit: Scrap that, it's been 70 years between d2 - d4. He probably died of old age.

Seems like Cassia the Zon, and Xul the Necro had the best fates through and after the events of Diablo 2 . Always felt like the Zon was sort of like the unsaid leader of the team of Heroes in D2. The Java Zon was just so damn OP lol. I would says the original Heroes from Diablo 1 had a much more tragic ending than the D2 Heroes though. The D2 Heroes faired much better over all.

This sort of raises some questions from me. If the Order the Assassin is a part of is trained to fight without magic, then where do some of her skills and powers come from? Does the concept of “ki” or other non-magic inner energy exist in Diablo lore? Is it like how the Monk’s powers function in Diablo 3? Or where they trained to fight without magic, but can still use it? Edit: I just remembered that Assassin has skills involving psychic powers. These games are wild.

No way! Rathma, the dragon of life and dearh, is one of the coolest characters of the franchise imo, and his followers, the necros, are the keepers of balance in Sanctuary! And it's balance, not necessarily pure good, which means they might kill ya if you're disturbing that balance, which makes them grumpy antiheroes, which is awesome!

If they chose to make the Barbarian character the same from D2 to D3, then the scene where Deckard Cain dies would've had more of an impact for everyone than it already had. I personally subscribe to that headcanon just for that and the fact that he's able to command the Ancients.
@rickydiscord76712 жыл бұрын
Ancients: we well aid you whenever you need us. D3 Young Barbarian: but what about your duty? Ancients: the worldstone is now gone forever. we well now aid those that are worthy. maybe that's the reason why we can summon them in D3.
