Great attitude, just a go for it rider here. I ride this 2x a week from July 1 to the first big snowfall and it never fails to amaze as you clear more 'red death hills', or race a storm. We ski all the runs pictured so your brain is doing double time. I'd only suggest the author call out the mileage, as first-time riders can easily miss trail signs plus they go much slower to take scenic breaks. For example near the end before the highway, the rider dropped down Little Water, an old hiking trail, and it's ledgy. Had he gone straight (Big Water) it was for sure 'easier' but super flowy, more room as it's a very busy hiking trail during the last two miles. No bell, a few blind corners, and hikers /dogs will be a bit freaked out. Loved the whooping /yodeling, socializing rider dude and he caught a good 75% of the total mileage action and there are more options like dropping into the Canyons, Mill D North downhill, Pinecone down to PCMR. You do need to stock up on water, reach the Pipeline and it gets hot for those last four miles, plus canyon cars/hikers ramp up and they aren't paying attention.

Millcreek Canyon has some awesome trails. Pipeline is a crapshoot. Usually has a lot of foot traffic. Upper trails, beginning of video, are just great. That part where the guy had you turn right, you could go straight, too. They basically take you to the same place. It is almost all pine trees with good flow. I was looking around to see if I was in your video. I was up there, around, your publish date.

@TheCrashingDad7 жыл бұрын
yep.... it's SUPER twisty with blind corners... knew some people who crashed on their own.. as well as some people who got hit by cars (the cyclist was on the right side of the road, and the cars were swinging wide on the turns... hitting the cyclists head on) *I think that happened twice.. *having had my own run-ins with cars... and having friends/acquaintances get seriously hurt and killed... is why I've switched from road to mountain...
yeah boi this trails is siiick definitely raising the stoke and fun level . stoked

Hey Alex. Just dropping in to see your latest here. By the way, thought you'd like to know I talked you up a bit last night on my group ride. People heard me hootin' and hollerin' on my way down one of our trails. I said you were the one who taught me how to do that. 😂😂😂 Anyway, let's get to the video. 1:07 - Yes, thank you. That Patreon cut was an unexpected treat. Now I need to go and subscribe. 1:11 - man, that was a nice long straightaway, wasn't it? That must have been fun to ride. And that scenery! Am I right? 2:34 - Trail etiquette is super important. I know I don't always remember it. In fact, there are a lot of times that I worry that I'm being a jerk and not communicating as best I can with my fellow riders and hikers that I encounter on the trails. I do my best, though. 7:33 - I wasn't aware that you could "slightly bonk". I was always under the impression that it's more of an all-or-none type of thing. 10:53 - Alex, I'm curious. I'm making the assumption that there are some rides where you don't record video with this question. At the risk of sounding like I'm mocking you, are you this chatty when you're not recording and you ride solo? I love your laughter and shouts of joy, don't get me wrong. I am just curious if you do that even when you're not recording. Or is that for the benefit of us viewers? In that event, from your perspective are we simply fellow riders coming along with you? 12:07 - wait, someone who overtook you? Does that even happen? Haha! 16:55 - Oh, man! We ALMOST get to see Dad! 😂 That was an epic ride, Alex. Thanks for bringing us along. #LFRHGS and #SUAKTRSD (Stay Upright And Keep The Rubber Side Down)

Yes we did more in days before the pipe train was finished. The snake trail use to be a level 5 . You can go down the but you have do it last season to be safer. I is great going 60mph on a mountain bike. It's all about your form hanging half your body over the handle bars. This creates a wind tunnel when you put all the weight on the front tire. Slow down when you come to parking area's . I do this ride 2 to 3 times every summer.

In June I rode up Armstrong and then Pinecone (from Park City Mountain area) until I got to too much snow just a quarter mile or so from Wasatch Crest. I had to settle for riding Mid-Mountain that trip. I did enjoy some of the Canyons-side downhills from Mid-Mountain. Can't wait to go back! (Alex's video's sure don't help.)
