I could be completely wrong here, and I can't put all the pieces together, but was the guardian John? He had a mangled leg, so did John. He said it was a recent injury caused by Sentinels. And time seemed to pass differently. Much slower. So maybe when John died he became the guardian? But he'd been there millennia before Mia and Thomas showed up. I mean, when he found Thomas on the train he thought he only been gone a few hours, but Mia said he'd been gone two days. It's just a theory though.
@phillipferguson74554 жыл бұрын
Seems completely possible to me.
@them4licious0ne4 жыл бұрын
i guess that makes sense considering time doesnt seem to run linearly in that place, you could say it parallels the guy on interstellar where he died on a planet that orbits a blackhole and when they got there, the guy only died a few hours ago

Assuming a typical speed of a passenger train (59mph) this train would've gone 24,072 miles in 17 days, just 829 miles short of the circumference of the Earth. It will cover that remaining 829 in just a few hours. If the train is moving in a straight line then it will have had a net velocity of 0 (relative to the Earth).
@KiwiFights4 жыл бұрын
Incredible Canemian Circumference of one plane of the earth not the diameter. Diameter means one side to the opposite side, relative to the earth the velocity is still 59mph. It’s relative velocity is 0 if it travels around the entire world back to where it started.

This one is interesting. (Spoiler ahead) People were asking the narrator how he was able to survive without food or water for two weeks among the surveyors but in the end it becomes obvious: out of the entirety of people on that train, he was deemed “most fit” for this title of gatekeeper to hell. That’s why he never got so much as a twisted ankle. (Idk if that could be symbolic for something like achilles’ heel? His weakness being the fact that unlike the others who were on the train with people they knew, he was a complete outsider with no memory of what life he lived previously, therefore he was obliged to take the guardian’s place and set Mia free.) just a theory though.
