Trishelle knew Peppermint wasn’t a traitor and everyone else knew it was gossip as well and Pep called it out - it became a mob mentality as soon as a person got called out bc none of the rest of them wanted to be voted out first. Trishelle was rlly weird about Peppermint though and that also didn’t sit right with me

As someone that's currently all caught up with every English speaking version of the traitors, yes there are times when someone can decline the invitation to join the traitors, but not in a blackmail, which is kill or be killed at that point. I'm not sure in this scenario where the traitors have to choose their last traitor on the first night because it's only happened in this season and in season 2 of the UK.

So appreciate your perspective of basically translating the concerns and comments. You are so right that Peppermint came in kind of as a fan knowing everyone. But I still think that is so unfair and kind of cruel to have that used against you. I know these shows are basically elementary school playground politics, but it's kind of ugly. Trishelle knew that Peppermint wasn't a traitor and still went after her to assert some sort of strategic dominance. And I wonder if Traitors will evolve where the gamers (BB, Survivor, Challenge) while ever give credit or credence to those coming from other shows. Sorry Peppermint literally travels the world because people want to see her perform. The Bravo celebs get paid millions for navigating relationships on tv. By nature of the show format, the BB/Survivor players have inflated egos about strategy. But Phaedra specifically, she makes in a year what big brother players get by winning, she's a lawyer, she has businesses. It's crazy how she is so underestimated.

Ngl.. the witchy stuff is jokey but no lie the scarecrows kinda freaked me out too especially the ones in the field cuz they were like child sized like all of them. Normally I’ve seen scarecrows as adults so that tripped me out. A lot of imagery in this show is occult like. But I’m choosing to look at the players and jokes more so. The first banishment is usually a messed up one. The first murder sucks but is actually a sign of what a potential threat this person may be for the Traitors and it sets the tone for the beginning portion of the game. Losing Johnny was a shock but its funny that I remember thinking when I saw the cast, if hes not a Traitor then he is getting murdered first because Bananas just has that influence on people, so in one sense it sucked because production knew they would be missing out on someone who would be stirring the pot, but also smart on the Traitors behalf. Losing Peppermint this way sucked but for Trishelle it was like a Production's dream. And also Trishelle benefitted the Traitors at this moment sinve she was way off and pretty much did dirty work for them involuntarily! For Peppermint it is like your greatest assets in life and what makes you the strong person you are will be your downfall in the game. We all know how great Peppermint is but its like that was absolutely used against her and it was all just based off a sassy look or a slip of the tongue. I agree the way it was brought out felt like a sociocultural issue. I mean at least Trishelle showed shock and remorse it wasn't like a celebration at all but still it obviously left the fandom in a bad place with her because it felt wrong rather than an impressive game move. But Traitors works backwards this move benefitted the Traitors and they manage to get out a potentially strong Faithful in Peppermint early on. I can totally see you being picked as a Traitor if you were casted, however I am also concerned with the now expectancy of CBS reality stars being traitors since that has happened both seasons. But they may mix it up again you just dont know how they will cast like if they bring in some new players again or if it will be all reality celebs again. The other factor is if you will be casted with someone that you have played another game with before or not. Since you have many different connects now thats a high possibility. So navigating those kind of relationships in this game becomes interesting as we have seen with Parvati/Sandra Dan/Janelle, and of coarse Phaedra w/Sheree and Tamra.

I wont specify, but I really think we have a mix of smart players, but we lose the best personalities. Little one liners and tension because players might be catching on, is not the same as people who are fun. And by current episodes, I think we lose some major personalities. Good game tension later, but lacking people I root for even if playing smart. I think we need more variety of show types and more strategic people who know how to balance detective work with charm. Terrible they got rid of Johnny here. Boot him earlier on The Challenge because he will make it to the end the longer you leave him. But this game we needed a Johnny around.

It’s so hard to answer your questions because we’ve seen more and know more - you may want to phrase your questions as “At this point, did you feel Donte’s tears were real or Dans motives” lol Now with peppermint situation with TRASHelle 🙄 Peppermint (like many people) have EXPRESSIVE faces! So that initial interaction with them and Peps response - was blown COMPLETELY out of proportion. I’m not going into spoilers - but just know TRASHelle will pull this “expressive” issue again with someone else 🙄 I can’t stand her now. I couldn’t stand her on The Real World. I couldn’t stand her on The Challenge. I enjoyed her on Fear Factor - only because she was being indirectly tortured. But she needs to GO. No, Donte’s tears are VERY real and you’re going to see just how real they are by the next episode 👀 Dan asking Parvati if he’s good and if she’s heard anything was more so Dan making Parvati his Memphis and/or Danielle - he’s securing the connection. Lord I can’t wait for you to catch up - but I really am enjoying your reactions to the episodes.
