I also think that a lot of people always comment, "oh they should have done this better", or "they shouldn't have said that" , or "they should have played better this way or that way".. because we already know who the traitors are. If the show doesn't let us know who the traitors are, the criticisms wouldn't be so harsh on the players.. me thinks.

I completely agree! It's so easy to point out flaws in people's logics when we know the answer, but if we're just as in the dark as the players, it'll be so much more FUN!

I would LOVE a season where the traitors are hidden. I agree that it's not something they should do every season, just a special one every now and then. I think it would be so cool to be able to play along with the contestants and try to guess who the Traitors are. Maybe they could do this for an All Stars season or a Traitors World season (where they bring back popular contestants from the various English speaking versions - UK, US, Australia, Canada and New Zealand).

One thing I had been thinking of is what would happen if they introduced a second team of Traitors. Maybe if you had 22 cast members you start of with 3 Traitors and 2 Secret Traitors. The Secret Traitors would get to see everything that happens in the Traitors Turret (including the Traitors identities). The Secret Traitors win by just getting to the end meaning that the Traitors have to find and either murder or banish the Secret Traitors to win. The Traitors decide who to Murder, however the Secret Traitors get 3 Vetos that they can use to change the victim (though they cannot murder Traitors). The Traitors can inadvertently recruit a Secret Traitor (which may reduce the appeal of recruiting) while the Secret Traitor can only recruit one person if they lose their ally, they can choose to recruit a Traitor. If a Secret Traitor recruits no-one dies.
@rpdrclips8162 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you with the recruitment cap because it’s really unfair for the remaining faithfuls, but the BBC has already funded for 12 episodes so the game can’t end early meaning that whenever there are 2 Traitors left they can continuously seduce and recruit a faithful until like episode 10/ 11. Also, I know this may not happen but they should try to bring someone back from banishment or revive someone who was murdered and maybe change/ keep their role but I’m pretty sure Claudia said that you can’t come back if you’ve been murderer or banished. Finally, I’ve been thinking about this if I was on the show and I was a faithful, won a shield and told everyone. I would secretly give my shield to one of my closest ally, someone who I genuinely trust, and ultimately saving them from being murdered. But, it could backfire if I give it to a traitor, however it might be useful in duo situation like Diane and Ross.

I LOVE that shield idea, but I think the rules would have to be clearer like "The person with the shield by the end of the NIGHT will be safe" cause at the moment if they win it in the challenge, they're safe!

I actually like the Recruitment part of the show. I feel like forcing them to leave or accept is something they should only do for the final recruitment, otherwise perhaps they could provide an incentive to decline, maybe telling the Faithful that if they refuse they have a shield 🛡️ going into the next night.

very interesting opinions, here’s my thoughts on a few: with the whole hidden traitors thing, i’ve also thought about this, it sounds so interesting theoretically - i’d love to know if i was right or not in my guessing! the only things i see raised as issues are 1) that would almost completely eradicate the confessionals in the show, people wouldn’t really be able to say much like say why they’ve acted a certain way/ done a certain action, it would be so frustrating as it wouldn’t be similar to previous traitor seasons at all in that sense. 2) i think the joy of knowing that a traitor is successfully orchestrating a situation and knowing who it is adds to the specialty of the show, that would be taken from us as the viewers if we “weren’t in on the joke” so to speak. for example knowing harry’s shield gameplay in UK S2 was sooo much more entertaining than if we saw some possible traitor who we didn’t fully know do the same thing? i really do love the idea, and i’d watch h the traitors any way they sell it lol but a couple problems jumped out at me with the concept, it sounds so intriguing though! in terms of the challenges and how they should each be the same merit, i have to disagree, i love the challenges! after a stressful round table the previous night, and the murder of someone being revealed in the morning, i love watching the group team together with the same goal of adding to the pot. maybe im too sappy but i love seeing ppl get along and form friendships, and the challenges are a big part of that . also, i feel like if the traitors were to disrupt the game for their own benefit, it wouldn’t make them as likeable as much as (most of ;) ) them were. i feel like if there was someone disrupting the challenge it would potentially be too obvious as well, and i really love how hard the traitors producers try to ensure there is no way the traitor is obvious in terms of the structure of the show (except from miles with the poison chalice 😭) i pretty much agree with your other suggestions, with the longer round tables, i think they should release an extended cut after each episode on youtube or something, i would definitely watch! that’s all my yapping done for the day, i just finished aus s1 and im fearing what s2 will be like, i’ve heard such bad things 😭😭. anyways i hope you have a good rest of your day, you’ve gained a new subscriber now!

Agree with the recruitment cap, and more consistent winnings for missions. Respectfully disagree 110% with hiding the identity of the traitors. Other shows have worked like that. The Traitors would not. It’s a show that hinges on dramatic irony. Every single iconic moment of TV from this series was only possible because we knew all too well what the faithfuls did not. Imagine not being able to admire Jaz or Harry’s immaculate gameplay, because we didn’t fully understand it until a rushed final 10 minute recap. It would be so unsatisfying. Great video. Keep them coming
@myenragedrants Жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree that a 10 minute recap at the end wouldn't work, but I think there's some kind of mystery that gets lost from this show that could make this unmissable TV. Like imagine everyone on Twitter discussing who they think the traitors are. Idk, it might not work for everyone but it would be interesting to see if they could make it work somehow...

The missions need to be for the shield. It should be just like Survivor, whichever team wins the mission should all win the shield and be safe from murder. That takes some power away from the traitors. Or the shield should always be secret if it's only going to go to one person. Also there needs to be more incentive to successfully banish a traitor. I think if the faithful successfully banish a traitor there should be no murder that night

Some good ideas, I like the idea of anonymising the traitors to the audience but then I might become as illogical as I like to complain about the faithfuls! I think some ideas run the risk of changing the game mechanics such as the idea I just came up with to have a third category of player 'the tainted', the traitors can taint a faithful player (a bit like recruitment it would have conditions which need to be met but the faithful they choose can't decline the offer). When the traitors taint a faithful, they forfeit the right to murder on that night + the tainted player can't be murdered for the duration that they remain under the traitors control but they can be banished. Tainted do not learn the traitors identity but they are given orders that they must complete, such as directing suspicion to players that traitors would like to frame or voting a certain way at the round table. I think this would have two good effects, strong players would realistically be tainted by the traitors -faithful- early on instead of being murdered, strong players would be weakened by having to carry out the traitors will. After 2 or 3 nights, the tainted player is able to revert to being a faithful again though they will then be eligible for murder. I don't think it's a good idea not at least until the 10th series when it's gone stale lol The simpler idea is that traitors shouldn't be allowed to vote for other traitors at round tables, this change would mostly benefit faithfuls as observant faithfuls could cotton onto the fact that certain players never vote for each other and it would also force the traitors to work together better as a weak traitor could bring down the other traitors (because they'd have to vote for another player)

I think it would get interesting if they added an element that allowed a faithful to become a traitor. I think majority of the people that go on the show are dying to be a traitor, especially on the US/AU version. It seems as though most people are headhunted for the show because of their 'traitor' qualities (survivor, big brother, etc etc) but they don't become traitors. Other than recruitment, it might be good to create other ways of becoming a traitor. Here's an idea: 'I bet my life on it' when a faithful is sure that they've identified a traitor (as we have seen SO many be SOOO convinced that they have). Let them bet their life on it. It could be an element to the game called 'place your bets' after the round table but before the murders. If the faithful is wrong, they die and exit the game (hence, they have to be sure). If they are right, they get to join the traitors that very night and join discussions for a murder. Whether they'd be welcome or not would be an epic ordeal. If this continues, the traitors could face internal wars, especially if several correct bets are placed and the "inner circle" gets bigger. Such bets would have to be placed in secret though, once the clock goes and everyone has said their goodbyes. And if they died because their hey was wrong, the traitors would not murder and they'd be told who placed a bet and who they 'guessed/suspected' wrong (which they could mastermind to their advantage). The rest of the faithfuls in the morning wouldn't know whether the missing faithful got murdered or whether they sacrificed themselves (unless the faithful tells everyone that they will place a bet ahead of time). It'd be massive element of the game. Not sure the traitors UK is ready for such a massive change. Also, it would allow players like Jaz to take control and not rely on "numbers" or sheep mentality which can be SO frustrating to watch. No spoilers but Season 2 of AU could have really done with such an element. It also adds a personal twist to wanting to find who the traitors are, for yourself, to become one, or for the team, to banish one.

Think what the show needs is for money that is won in missions is split into two categories, core money and allegiance money. Allegiance money would be less and would be more side stuff kinda like going for the shields but any allegiance money won would either be split between all the faithfuls who participated, all the faithfuls who participated in that episode or only added to the prize fund if the faithfuls won. Any allegiance money not won would instead go to the traitors, again any of the three options. This would allow for real evidence to be gained on the traitors, they’re always saying there’s no time for the allegiance money, they’re purposely making mistakes in the missions or purposely taking to much time
@ABAllen Жыл бұрын
We need a recruitment cap for sure. Like, cook up a new endgame that all the faithful have to play together if they successfully boot all the traitors before the final if you have to but this infinite recruitment thing has been a problem in both UK 2 and a number of other international versions and needs to be fixed. The game is far too slanted against the faithful right now. For this show to have a long life we need to see closer to a 50/50 win rate rather than the 65(ish)% traitor win rate we see globally right now.
