My nephew was burned when he was five years old. It was something as simple as not asking for help when taking Ramen noodles out of the microwave. The hot water cascading over his head on to his entire body. He spent an entire month in the burn unit. He has minimal scarring thanks to his older brother who upon hearing his screen placed him in a cold shower and called 911 with his cell phone from the shower. They came quickly and treated him quickly. His mother stayed by his side every moment changing his bandages and creams. He was in constant agony. Even his private parts were burned. What you do for others is amazing. You are an angel. There is a reason for your pain, you will have great rewards in the afterlife.
