I'm so happy to have found this video because I saw one of his works in a consignment shop in Deerfield Beach, FL on Aug 5, 2013 and I always wanted to know about him and see more of his works! The work I saw was Uma's Eye. Too bad I can't load up some photos of it.

That is so neat that you saw his work in a shop. I would love to see your photos, too.

When I see a single piece of plastic I see the millions of it's brothers and sisters dotted around the planet and effort it took to create it. The scale of the mess is hidden to a large proportion of human awareness

Actually plastic is a miracle material that has done untold good for mankind. Our food is kept fresher for much longer through plastic packaging. Our computers are made of high amounts of plastic. Lighter plastic materials make shipping our products cheaper and more energy efficient. On the other extreme, ask anyone in a poor country who has to carry and store water in an old plastic container. They last forever and do not crack easily.
