I purchased both the traveling crochet & traveling knit afghan kits from Lion Brand after I purchased both for my daughter. I can’t wait to get started! Luckily I bought all of them on sale too! She was having so much fun I decided to give it a try too.

I may have missed it but are you going to share where each square originates? I would like to note the origin of each one if possible.

Thanks so much for your interest! You can find the itinerary for each afghan (along with the locations and names of the designers) on my site twoofwands.com/travelingafghans. As each pattern is published, the color blocked square will be replaced with a photo of the finished knit or crochet square and it will be hyperlinked directly to the pattern. I hope you enjoy the project!

I am new to this. What does K5 and P3 mean? Sorry for being ignorant on this matter.

K5 means Knit 5 and P3 means purl 3. You should be able to find a tutorial on how to knit and purl.
