Love this song, loved the whole collaboration. Im surprised though that you didnt pick up on the empty rocking chair and picture of Roy Orbison. He was a member of the Travelling Wilburys, but sadly passed away before the video was shot :( what a wonderful tribute they made to him though.

@dagmar.69542 жыл бұрын
The Traveling Wilburys is a rock supergroup from 1988, made up of Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, & Jeff Lynne. They had a lot of great songs. "Handle With Care", "End Of The Line", "Heading For The Light" etc. Roy Orbison had passed away when this was released & they paid tribute to him with his guitar in the rocking chair. Sadly only 2 guys are now left from this group (Bob Dylan & Jeff Lynne).

One to play now and one for when I'm in a nursing home. 🤣🤣 So wish they could have done more songs before some started to pass. Check out the whole album. All songs we're great and worth a look.

Ex Beatle George Harrison is singing lead in the beginning and near the end. Tom Petty is singing the main verses with Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra fame with the shades on singing in the middle. Roy Orbison passed away before this video was shot but his voice is there also. Bob Dylan doesn't take lead on any vocals on this one just backing vocals. Harrison's "Handle with care" is a must check out, should be next. These are some of the most famous musicians ever assembled together. George Harrison thought of pulling these friends together while he was recording his "Cloud Nine" Lp in late 1987 and Jeff Lynne was producing it. In 88 George and Lynne were recording a single too go with the album. They were in LA and George gave his old friend Bob Dylan a call and asked if they could use his studio. Dylan said sure and stopped by while George was recording and this was the beginning of the band. They rang up Petty and Orbison and shortly after got together and made an album. They were never really a band but just four friends jamming and playing together, they never toured or anything like that. Harrison and Dylan had a long friendship dating back to 1964. When The Beatles were on there first US tour in 64 they were in NYC for a show and staying at the Delmonico Hotel when they got a call that Dylan wanted too meet them. When he came up to their suite he brought along a good friend of his named marijuana and got The Beatles high for the first time and a great time was had by all. Dylan was talking to John Lennon and said he loved the line "I get high" in the song "I Want To Hold Your Hand" and John said we're actually singing "I can't hide" Dylan was disappointed when he heard that. There are some great stories as told by John, Paul, George and Ringo about this first encounter with Bob. The Beatles became huge pot heads after this encounter and there music began to rapidly change. Putting down the drink and switching to reefer was very, very beneficial for this band. One mistake earlier, I said four friends, I meant five. ✌️☮️💕🎄

Oh, Mr. Van! You've landed on what's known as a "supergroup". Jeff Lynne (cowbell boy), is from Electric Light Orchestra (ELO); Roy Orbison ( whom we briefly saw in a photograph), 1 of the best voices to ever come out of the '50's-'60's; Tom Petty (Mr. Cool), from Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers; George Harrison (1st singer, leather jacket), from The Beatles; & Bob Dylan (far left, leather jacket), 1 of the greatest American songwriters of all time. Heavy, HEAVY talent. Roy Orbison's picture was all we saw, because he'd passed away at this point. In the terrific video where Prince plays guitar on The Beatles' song, "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", written by George Harrison, it's for a tribute to George after HE passed. If you recall, Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne performed, as well, in honor of their Travelling Wilbury bandmate, & a great guitar player. A few other songs by them you may want to react to:. "Crying", a cover of Roy Orbison's '60's hit, where we really get to hear Roy's amazing voice; "Handle With Care", which is almost touchingly innocent; & " You Belong To Me", a charmingly gentle love song. Thanks for "travelling" with The Wilburys!

Ok, the middle guy you mentioned is Jeff Lynne from ELO, the blond in the Top Hat you stated he was just relaxed is Tom Petty, George Harrison started the song off, of The Beatles, I can’t remember the drummers name, sorry. Bob Dylan is the guy in the scene that closes to your head on the left hand side. Dylan is a National Treasure of music. And looking at the screen where you see a guitar in a rocking, rocking chair is where Roy Orbinson would be sitting. Roy Orbinson sang Pretty Woman, Crying, Only the Lonely. Incase you don’t know who he was. I don’t think Dylan sang in this one. Petty, Harrison and Orbinson are deceased...
