I agree, if the Reapers ever get anything similar to the Athena's Fortune in quests like some sort of Esteemed Reaper quest (That would hopefully promote PvP) then I feel like the Chest of Fate would be a perfect equivalent to the Athena's Fortune and the Chest of Legends, if not better. Speaking of which, I feel like the Chest of Legends should have some sort of cursed effect, since it looks like a cursed chest. I don't know what that effect would be, mind you, but I feel like if it did have a cursed effect it would make it harder to stack them from Legend of the Veil and FOTD, but it may also give players an edge in PvP depending on what that effect could be. Maybe like an AOE effect.

@@shovel2187 call the Reaper Athena Version "Reapers Glory" I would say don't make the chest cursed, however, give it a unique property. It works like a Reapers Mark over a limited space. The more chests you have, the more long-range the signal, and the payout. It works like a mini-emmisary system with a grade given by the chests called a Call of Fate. The higher your fated reward, the greater the call of the loot to others.

Okay, but what if the chest with the two tankards and the mysterious complicated looking lock is infact DeMarco & Leseti's chest. It is stated that the pirate lord gave them a chest that they could only open by sharing a drink to help them settle their differences. What if this concept is to be this very chest and that it may turn up and play a role in the future someday after the events witnessed so far. The idea of two grog mugs clinking together as shown on the chest represents the idea of toasting and sharing a drink. So that is my theory on this chest so far.

While on the subject of art, I really have to mention all the technical graphics work that goes into the game. The detailed water, The material textures, lighting effects. The lodestar cosmetics are the best example of this, and how the starry effect is applied to a crystal like material. I love it so much.

I really wish they would do more with chests. More cursed chests, maybe some puzzle chest, and more variety in general. A cursed chests that mess with the sails and ships anchor. Maybe an angry spectral pirate possesses your ship. Keeps popping up to fight you as long as you have the chest that contains his soul on board. There is a million things they could do.

I'd love to see more rare treasure around the world. Not "mysterious box of wonder" or "shrouded ghost" rare, but something that might pop up once every 10 sessions or something like that. Something cool looking and worth a fair bit. It would add some variety and spice to the entire loot system and increase the stakes instantly if you came across one.

The Chest of Fate looked super cool, and i'm sad it didn't make it to the game. I have a feeling it would be another cursed chest and for example would kill you or damage you after 5 seconds of carrying it if you don't drop it (in adventure mode, i know it was originally designed to be in arena)
