The treehouse in the trees is coming along. Progress on all fronts!

The treehouse project is moving along. With Deb's help the front gable is complete and ready for siding and roofing. The little cabin has been started with one wall complete. The floor decking is done as are some of the handrails. Next trip's challenge will be the back gable. There is not enough room on the back side so set up a step ladder or temporary handrail that won't get in the way. It will be interesting!

Thanks Brandy! The tree being dead never crossed my mind. We are too far into it now so if I have to call the tree man and write the check, so be it. But it won’t happen anytime soon. For now we have a tree house to finish. Barry

To get a trailer to go into tight spots, put a hitch on the front, way easier to move a trailer To avoid wood splitting, blunt the tip of the nail

Mazda Man! Interesting thought about putting the hitch on the wrong end. I can see that the distance to the axles would be much less. Good old trick about dulling the nails, I knew that but it didn’t click into the old noggin. Another trick is to not use Southern Yellow Pine for rafters. Unfortunately fur/spruce/ hemlock is just not stocked in our local lumber yards. Thanks for watching and thanks for taking the time to comment. Barry

@@barrylukebuilds7894 It's done to all aircraft towing trucks. It allows to push the plane more accurately than backing up. I have a hitch on the front and rear of my truck, van, and car.. Once you use it, you'll wonder how you ever lived without it
