The trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath via Jharkot, Nepal

This video is of the trek from Kagbeni to Jharkot, Jharkot is one of those rare Unspoilt Himalayan Tibetan villages and shouldn't be missed when trekking in the Annapurna region, then we trekked up to Muktinath to visit the Fire on the Water Temple, a joint Hindu and Buddhist site and an Important Pilgrimage site, and finally back down to Kagbeni, again via Jharkot.

We did that Trek in December 1984. We flew into Jomson, treked to Muktanath, and back down the Kali Gandaki River to Pokhara. It was magnificent. It's much changed with the road and modern buildings. And electrical or phone wires, on poles! Wow. The porters at the time were carrying 300 pound loads of large PV piping for a water project. It's true. A trip of a lifetime!
