Amazing quality filming and nice under stated narration- these islands are familiar but the under water close ups in particular are a revelation and you have caught the puffins so well. Yacht and Kayaks such a great combo.

What a stunning video! I now have Lunga firmly on my must do list. I will of course wear a wide brimmed hat when visiting, because we had some very unhappy terns to deal with in the Farnes. I wonder if just letting nature provide the music a bit more would have added to this video. Less is sometimes more when it comes to music. Your narrative was excellent and has me searching for more Hebridean history.

Hi Jasmin I think your best vlog yet and you have been producing some great ones. Know the island s quite well love Gometra harbour and Ulva. Your wildlife photography is I think getting better and better. We are on our boat in Shetland and plan to do the Caledonian Canal next spring and then explore, following in your wake. You have inspired us to explore Lunga. We also have a 2-person Advanced Elements and love it. It is our third one! You produce beautiful and interesting videos and we look forward to more. Thank you! Hope you have a great trip too! We’ve heard that Lunga is currently closed to the public, due to the spread of bird flu in the area, hope it won’t be an issue when you go. Unfortunately we don’t have any advice regarding 2nd hand AE kayaks. All the best.

Nice that a band follows you about? Why have so much Muzak? when as someone else has commented, you have that sound of nature ? Ok. but I still find your life afloat Very! interesting. please have a fink about the background noise.

Thanks for your comment and suggestion. I too prefer the sounds of nature. Unfortunately direct audio recordings on most film equipment is a jumble of people talking, microphone bangs, bumps and crackles as well as wind distortion and drone footage has no audio for obvious reasons. In many nature documentaries an important roll is played by the sound engineer whose only roll is to record natural sounds to be later stitched in place in the final film. I sometimes record sounds separately with a field recorder but this is an art that takes time and I am yet to perfect. I film, record, and edit all on my own on the yacht and receive no payment. Music is the only option for me. I hope this will not put you off from subscribing and watching our channel. Thanks Jasmine
