You need to leave your grandma tree on your land. That is the biggest tree that protects your other trees.

You ladies are living the life I would have had if I could. Your idea to take this land, build your home, and a relaxing place for others to enjoy as well, is beautiful 💗 I hope some day, I can be one of those people to come there and enjoy the peace & beautiful of Alaska😊🙏🏾❤️

You should get a “come along” and yellow straps. You can wrap the straps and wire from the come along around trees in all different arrangements. Then crank the come along to move whatever it’s attached to. It’s like having your own power lifter....I’m sure they sell them at the hardware store there.

When you’re so excited and working with adrenaline just be careful. You may feel the muscular aches and pain later. The electric saw was a game changer, even though it might be a little heavy. Enjoy your week.

I cleared a full acre like that once; it was the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life! A bit of advice, invest in a reliable chain saw. As long as you intend to do work on your property, that chain saw will be your first go-to tool.

Wranglestar has a number of videos and info on chainsawing being a former logger. A Ryobi rechargeable is more of a basic suburban homeowner unit. It's going to be slow going affair with that thing.

You can pick out some nice tree stumps or whatever you cut with a base as coffee tables or nightstands, and everytime you look at them you'll know it came from your land, research ways to use your land as much as possible to build your camp/home👍

A couple tips about chainsaws: (I’m sure u’ve done hella research cause it’s scary but might as well let ya know) first, be suuuuper aware of not touching the saw to dirt even for a second cause that will dull the teeth ASAP and it’s SO ANNOYING. Also, a lot of people move it back and forth like a saw when cutting but that will get it stuck and will also put more work on the teeth, you wanna teeter the ends up and down instead and keep it in the same place when it comes to left and right (hopefully that makes sense) and then also u don’t want to start the chainsaw back up from stopped when in the middle of the log , that will get ur saw stuck in there. Im sure ull get the hang of it but ya those are a couple things that will help you not get the saw stuck in the log which is always nerve wracking

Ok. This might seem alarmist but if you don't have phone service out there you should invest in a Garmin InReach or a Zoleo and get an account so you can contact Emergency Services if you need to. If you have cell service make sure you have the geo coordinates for your property so they can find you quickly. Enjoy your adventure but be safe.

You two with that chainsaw....EPIC! Couldn't decide if it was more adorable or more badass. Anyway, I now feel I need to clear some land. Ha! Thanks for the adventure! Can't wait for the next! Hugs to the pups. :^) OH! Tip for the flies...put a little peppermint oil on lights scarves around your neck and on the pup's bandanas. It helps. I do it when hiking with my pups. I'm sure you could mix a little in lotion too...flies hate peppermint!

takes some brawn what you are doing. I barely manage my 1/2 acre garden with the lopper and the odd tree branches with a chainsaw! Wondering if you ever get to the cabin build, all that transporting. Awesome views as usual makes me want to run away to the woods. I use a short cut box saw when cutting little stuff. Some say shark tooth saw but it cuts so much faster than the regular handsaw . you two are doing the most natural work there is and creating the look of your land that you want. You appreciate it more when you do it yourself. I love it.💪💛

Wow, the video shows some beautiful scenes but as you stated, its naturally that way anyway. Its good to see you both starting to clear paths (your mom looked hot using the chainsaw 😉), stay on point being one wrong move could cause harm. Oh, I thought of a small stoop with the stump you cut off, how cool would that be!!! Hey, did you go see the neighbor yet, maybe he/she could provide some feedback as well as a tool or two to help make the property even more homey... Well as always, stay safe and keep the adventure going!!!!!!

lol mom must have been starving she was throwing down. while you're cutting all that wood down how about making a cover for firewood and start stacking the wood in it to dry. you should be able to make it with everything right there except nails. You could also split some of the thinner trees down the center and use them to make the bridge over the larger downed trees. Find about 10 people who want to camp in tents on your property in exchange for helping with the work for x amount of time each person and then extend based on how much they actually help you. Can't wait to see all you do. I love it and that town looks like a dream.
