I love the tips. I try to stand sometimes while I list. Moving around to different work spaces helps my back. I use a plastic laundry basket to list from and then take listed items in the same basket to my basement for storage. My main work station is my dinning room table so I clean up after every listing session. I’m retired and we downsized so we can travel more. Thank you for your help and motivation.

Every single tip you have is on point!!! I just realized the category needs to change first last week. I can say I’ve entered item specific many times only for it to wipe away. I believe challenging myself to list more and daily has also allowed me to see things I would not normally see when I list. Making sure I’m not wasting time filling out things just to loose it.

I do the same with my photos. I also printed out sleeve, bust to pit etc signs so they will know what area it is on the shirt. It’s so helpful and saves time. Have a wonderful weekend.

i agree I don't fill in descriptions. I type the letters "pd" and paragraph is automatically inserted. In it it states the conditon, that it's from a pet free and smoke free home, measurments are in the photos and my return policy. Huge time saver. After all photos are taken, the listing process is under 3-4 min

Some of the best advice about using the eBay app is when you say to first get the item category correct before adding any other info about your item. I have been a victim of switching category erases previously entered data about your item....and yes, I have done it more than once! Ouch. Wonder why eBay has not addressed this issue about the app? They could at least move "category" higher up in the apps list to prioritize it above other information. Newly subbed. Great presentation of your experiences as a reseller. Thanks.

Working through my HUGE pile today and came across your video. My husband and I have been trying to figure out how we are going to budget for a car for my teenage son in 6 months when he turns 16. ( I NEED him to drive to take some of the running around burden off of me!) I have new motivation now to hit this pile and turn it into a car for him. if you have an android phone you can create shortcut phrases to where typing in the first 3 letters will automatically plug in different phrases or paragraphs you want it to say in all your listings. Super time saver

the biggest tip that's helped me is to have that "Pile" to look at, so for me it's a shelf of books that I plan to list that day and it needs to be emptied. and now i need to go get a snack!

I don’t know if you are still reading comments on your videos from a few years ago but I’m struggling with listing more items in a day. I sell one of a kind vintage collectibles. Many times I don’t know enough about the item to give it the best key words until I do some research. So that takes up a little time right there. Also, how much time do you spend on the following: Cleaning the items, either soiled clothing or dusty dishes etc, removing price stickers off of hardgoods or markers off of shoes, etc, editing your photos, (are you taking several photos of each item or just 3 or 4?, Storing your items and noting where they are in whatever system you use so they can be easily found, Pulling your items from inventory and packaging for shipping? There is just soooooo much more to listing than filling out the listing form online and snapping a few photos. It’s all of the rest of the above that takes so much time!

I don't spend much time cleaning or repairing items. I consider myself a reseller, not a cleaner or repair person so I've learned not to pick up items that require that time. All of my inventory is stored by category in my office. I have a video on the storage system. It won't work for everyone buy works for my brain. Essential oil is my best friend for marker but I also use dry erase marker to get prices off. If that doesn't work. I scribble it out and move on. That's my biggest tips for these time suck jobs. Move on. Dont spend 30 minutes repairing or cleaning an item unless the net profit is huge. Just my personal opinion, of course.

Sorry, did I miss this... do you draft a certain portion of you listings to allow for weekends? What about a vacation? Yes it is important to have new listings appear daily, but not being by doing them daily... again, sorry if I am repeating something you covered. but many are learning to have their weekly listing goal done in 5 days with a break using those drafted to release wile you are soaking in a bubble bath. Some use a method of listing two times the number of their daily sales: 7 sales - list 14, etc. Thanks for what you share.

I’m an online seller on another platform however many years ago I did list a few of my oil paintings on eBay. The platform I’m on has set shipping prices (seller can give discounts but seller pays the difference) plus seller pays 20%. I’ve thought about listing on eBay also but I’m not sure I completely understand their listing policy & prices now. Years ago it was simple & straightforward. Could you give me your thoughts on listing on two platforms and also explain eBay’s pricing please.

Thank you! No, I don't. The local thrift in my town launders much of theirs. If an items is dirty I would but I feel the buyer will wash it when they get it nearly always

@@RachelStrickland I believe eBay (and probably other selling platforms) require clothing to be clean when sold. I will be washing everything before selling as other successful sellers have done (such as technsport). I just wouldn’t feel right sending out unwashed items.

I'm technically always charging shipping. When I offer free shipping, its just worked into price. $14.99 free shipping looks better than $10 with $5 shipping yo lots of buyers.
