To solve the flooding problem in Happy Valley (in Hong Kong) the Drainage Services Department constructed drainage tunnels upstream of the urban area to intercept runoff and implement an underground storm water scheme.

Thank you for educating us, I think we all can or should use natural materials for pipe and avoid stagnation of water at one single point..instead we can or shall use multiple collection points for water and wastam materials separately..thank you for giving us this opportunity

'system makes use of three sensors'. don't you mean, it probes the water level at three different locations/sites? we all know what can happen if you would literally rely on ONE SENSOR per location, per critical value, don't we? I be distinctly remember a certain air plane called 'Max' that relied on one sensor, and in no time after launch immediately two crashed killing all folk onboard, after which all of the type were grounded indefinitely worldwide..
