Balatro is a poker roguelike deck building game centered around creating powerful synergies and winning with big hands. In it, you can combine valid poker hands with unique Jokers in order to create varied synergies and builds. Earn enough chips to beat blinds, including challenging boss blinds, to make it to the next ante and progress your run!

Yeah, my biggest problem is that Balatro is just like... extremely limited when it comes to Joker utility. There's a lot of cool jokers, but the problem is that almost *none* of them are viable past White Stake, and pretty much all of the builds devolve into something along the lines of Photochad. It's boring as hell, and is a large part of why I'm not even really super excited for watching Roffle's videos much anymore, tbh. Because it's almost always Photochad which is the Meta for Balatro. And the fact that most builds always rely on that one, *singular* meta goes to show just how awful most of the other Jokers are, and how they *need* some buffs to make them better. Sorry for the ramble, but this is a critique I've had when watching lots of videos on the game, and playing it myself.

It is a pretty reliable setup but given the nature of the game you can just clear run after run and never get it, and you can also avoid it if you despise it so much, it's not like every other joker in the game is unusable (even stuff like Flower Pot works if you plan enough). I've cleared almost all deck stake wins (missing Black Deck) and I've never used photochad, but a variety of other jokers even some I can't come to like (cough Obelisk cough) and I've had almost no issue, so doubt others might not have a similar experience

With this seed I was able the get Triboulet on the second shop with blueprints and sock and buskins. If you buy all the arcana packs and the showman early you will get another triboulet. I personally got a high score of e32 ending with 4 blueprints. DSNV3H8C

I just beat my first gold stake run and something I recently learned from you turned out to be useful. I probably wouldn't have taken eternal matador if I hadn't watched your videos. I also had ride the bus and hologram that I could scale really well. In ante 9 I even unlocked a new legendary joker, but it was chicot

He has talked about it on stream, it's probably hanging chad first because it's so versatile, and then you should find in any order constellation, hologram, red card, blueprint, brainstorm, photograph and mail in rebate. As for the hands, high card and flush are the most reliable and flexible, followed by two pair, 3oak and straight who make up a second tier Imo. (Not talking about high score runs here) Btw people in this comment section go on all the time about photochad but I find stacking a flat mult joker, a chips joker and several times mult jokers the most consistent way to win high stakes.

Played ghost deck earlier on white stake, got a round 2 blueprint, hexed it then ankhed it, got 2 invisible jokers for 4 POLYCHROME BLUEPRINTS. Later picked up mime and baron, filled my deck with red seal steel kings and BOOM easy 2.4e26

I recently beat my Gold Stake abandoned deck run by getting an early eternal wrathful joker and managing to get it polychrome. I duped it three different times with an eternal hanging chad and beat with that joker lineup...

Given your jokers set up would a red seal really be better than a polychrome 5? Red seal is 1 extra trigger, but polychrome is 1.5x mult for each trigger. With only ancient joker they seem to be equivalent but given that you get atleast 2 re triggers on it, so that would be 3 triggers of 1.5xmult twice (equivalent of 6 triggers), as opposed to red seal which in the same circumstances would be 4 triggers of only 1.5xmult

Given his end setup, the red seal put it at 4 scores and 4 triggers, while the polychrome would put it at 5 scores and 3 triggers. He could have made it to where his end setup had 3 scores and 5 triggers with a red seal, and polychrome would do 4 scores and 4 triggers. So it results in the same thing by itself, so ultimately it was more dependent on which setup was better and since he had more red seals it was better to double down on red seals (though we only are talking the difference of like 1.5x in his score)

Can't help but laugh how fast Roffle can deduct the cards and odds. I've played only 100 hours or so and I can say if I streamed my latest red stake win run, streaming it would be pure torture how slow and pondering I still am. 🤣 Getting better though with jokers that are of no use at certain stages of the game.

For anyone who still confuses these. 1. seals are one of the extra thing a card can have and they only conflict with themselves being red, purple, gold or blue. 2. editions is another and it means the shiny surface coat a card can have: foil, polychrome, holographic and negative. 3. every other card enhancement is in one cathegory and REPLACE each other. these are: glass, gold, steel, mult, bonus, wild, lucky and stone. one from each of these groups can be on a card on top of a rank and a suit.

I got a seed for double hex brainstorm from ante 1 round 1 96F6MNDP All you need to do is buy the joker pack get brainstorm use hex then get ahnk in the spectral pack Then the next spectral pack roll shop 3 times to get blue print then use the ectoplasm in the spectral pack to get a negative blue print giving you the same amount of copying as this vid I have another seed of getting 2 negative mimes 1 blue print 1 brainstorm a perkeo and a baron with a steel king red seal polychrome build that can go to inf since you can buy crytid at ante 10 lol but forgot the seed

In a way, yes, cause decks like Ghost and Zodiac change up the shops. I sometimes input the same seed in random decks and get the same jokers along the way, but if there are changes in the shop and sometimes different jokers appear based on differing decisions. That’s my personal experience though, if I’m wrong then please correct me.
