The problem with Trolls is not that they are hard to hit, which isn't the case. The problem is, once you kill one, the others go blood-drunk for revenge. And the other problem is, even IF you hit one, their hide is as tough as rock (according to Tolkien himself). Gee, I do NOT want to be one of those soldiers...unless Boromir would command them! But apparently it's not a problem for cavalry to fling some of 'em fatties into the air ( 10:34 )
