Many alternators can be spun backwards if you flip the fan, so you can mount the alternator backwards and in front of the accessory drive. To bad I didn't watch this 7 months ago.

With all this work man.. get that HF HVLP paint gun x1 quart of expoxy primer, and x2 quarts of 9300 Black and paint the frame.. it'll last soooo much longer.

Found your content this morning on an instagram post about the cantilever suspension. Jumped over to KZbin and watched the first 6 episodes and was hoping you’d be uploading again soon… didn’t think it’d be same day lol Super cool build. Have a 62’ F100 unibody but I can’t make up my mind about what I’m going to do frame wise.

Great job!!! All the basic fabrication skills paired with some high tech help came together for a unique build. Something the average person could accomplish. I have concerns about the size of the foot well with that massive engine setback. Especially big feet and possibly a manual transmission. Still great can't wait to see it out of the garage!!! Subscription Earned!!!

I have an LT1/L83 from a 2014 Silverado in my 37 Chev PU. It's almost midengine. Thereis about an inch of the block over the 2x4 front crossmember. so It might have the block behind the centerline of the axles. I have it sitting pretty low. The 6L80 trans mount is an inch below the frame.and the oil pan is 3/4" above the crossmember. Overall, it should have a pretty low roll center. I don't have a lot of pitch on the engine but my rear end from a Ford Explorer has the pinion center a couple of inches off center. So I should have enough angle on the U joints to prevent brindling.
