Very wonderful. I was feeling how this is so much in unison with my favorite teacher Rupert Spira's pointing, when there he was in the audience. Thank you Kabir for your inspiration.

Kabir makes much sense and I really like his books, which I've bought and enjoyed, but there are necessarily tensions within Islam...as I've discovered. Sometimes it seems as if the discussions are more relevant to Buddhist thinking of the "non self" etc. Nevertheless am clear that Sufism can only work as the mystic element of Islam rather than a fashionable adjunct to the liberal West and "all faiths are the same" ideology.....they are not. Islam makes specific claims....

Condition of devine union requires a moment of emptyness. The Slave must experienced this moment of emptyness. Unfortunately, its beyong expression. It is a gift to anyone who seeks emtyness via sufism. Emptyness in devine union. It is said that it can only be expressed within a second (by the measurement of The Owner of Emptyness). It is shared in that moment but the slave does not own the sharing and the moment.

The words “lord” and “servant” scare me: they have had very real meaning for many unfortunate human beings. Is this a heritage of times when the subjugation of fellow human beings was the norm? Isn’t this a path to regress to an open, that is malleable, gullible mind? I.e. is this a way to prepare the masses to be explored by few without revealing the name of their real, incarnated, lord? How is money “created” and how does it flow in Sufi societies? May there be pace in our world. 🙏

Its beatifull and all, but sufism should not be so free that one can decide what to take from the Quran or not. Pray 5 times a day, then you can start doing other sufi practices

Sufism doesnt cherry pick verses of quran. It understands quran from a very different view than the masses do. But unfortunately many call themselves sufis today without knowing or practicing proper islam and have made the name sufi a notorious one.

Stop selling Islam through Kabir. Kabir had very little time for Islam or Hinduism.. He treated their practices as profound hypocrisy .. He even spoke against circumcision. Bhagat Kabir was a part of the the Bhakti movement which culminated in Sikhi . Kabir's contribution to the Guru Granth Sahib is 227 Padas in 17 ragas and 237 slokas.

@malmalhi007

Zatoichiable good question. I would say any with the proviso that you get back to its true message. Of all these Sikhi is recorded documented and checked by the messengers themselves. It is both peaceful and martial but war comes about only when all avenues have been exhausted. Sikhi is only about love and only love and upholding love. I'm sure all beliefs carry the same message of love. I suggest any.

Kabir is one of the attributes of the divine, its an arabic word meaning Big, great, it is not the kabir you mention of the sikh faith.. Sikhi in itself is contradictory, it began with objection to the outer ritual, being, formulas, it spoke about the greater truth with no regards to the path leading there, however it itself became a formal system with barriers, dogmas, and initiation processes, it went against its core, Wheras in the Islamic faith, many levels where given to all levels of understanding all one and intertwined, each takes according to his understanding, those with a drop. Thirst and those with oceans thirst all get satiated...

The building is a symbol of the power of God, the land was barren when Abraham established it, but God promised it would be a great holy site. In war, even the ka'bah has been destroyed and rebuilt and worn out over time. The miracle of Islam is in the Quran and in the Chief of All Messengers, Muhammad S, and his life, character, and triumph spiritually and socially and politically.

Islamic SUFISM is not wrong practice of ISLAM-----because it is ISLAMIC. Non-Islamic practice of SUFISM is non-Islamic----because it is non-Islamic. Islamic SUFISM is UNITARIAN. Non-Islamic Sufism is non-Unitarian. Makes sense ?? Practice of UNITY is ISLAMIC. Makes sense ??

Sufism is the heart of Islam, it is embracing fully the art of love and sincerity and truth and purity that are so often mentioned in the Quran and the traditions.
