What is the evil team in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet? Team star are not evil, and the AI professor is just AI, nothing more. In this video we will explore what I believe to be the True evil team of Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet as we do some Gen9 DLC Speculation on the long wait for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC news. How? Well, by looking at the past Evil Teams in Pokémon games and by looking at how the Pokémon League in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Gen9 Pokemon games, is one of the weirdest ones yet. Everything around them, from Champion Geeta and the Academy, feels like they are hiding something...
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are the new Gen 9 games and there's a lot to discover in this new Pokémon Region based on Portugal & Spain (Iberian Peninsula) and its secrets.

However perhaps the explorers have a deeper root like that cult in pokemon legends arceus . Keep in mind the history book mentions the "explorers" of ground zero long before in scarlet and violet your character explores area zero . So that being said could there be a connection between this group the cult in pokemon legends Arceus video game the true bad guys of this game and the explorers in horizon.

It would be an amazing twist if that happened mostly because of the weird vibe that geeta gives to the other characters, not many gym leaders like her, but I don't think the elite four members are involved, we also do not know what happened to Heath or where Nemona's parents are. I hope that they can answer this questions in the dlc.

I think we'll see a take on the Urashima Taro folk tale in the DLC with Heath being the "fisherman" that went into the "Dragon Palace" equivalent. We will interact with Heath in the DLC, I have some videos explaining why I think that. Nemona's parents are somethign I never gave a lot of thought, though I do think they'll be there in the DLC!

I'm honestly cool with the professor being the big bad who chased all their help and Family away. They were prepared to take multiple people on with the Paradise Protection Protocol being able to disable pokeballs and turn the AI into a war machine.

I loved that whole part of the game and, if the game didn't have so many lose ends - with it even pointing out some, I'd be happy with that being the "true ending". But with so much left to be explained, I can't help but think that the AI professor was just the remnant of the Professor's dream. It would be strange to still follow the Area Zero story from the main game and not have some antagonists from the main game there as well...

@@notsoAceTrainer When I was playing through the game I initially thought Geeta had a deeper connection to Area 0 and was Sada/Turo's lab partner or something along those lines. That guess turned out to be a wrong guess from me because Clavell was their School Partner and the the Partner in Area 0 is presumed to be Arvens other parent. The best I have is that Geeta was the head of the pokemon league that was threatening to shut down funding for Sada/Turo's Area Zero project until they made the Tera Orb.

I can definitely for sure see Geeta and some of the Elite 4 being possibly more evil. Not Hassal because he is way to wholesome and a crybaby to be evil. Along with that though I’m not sure our school is the evil or corrupt one. The side stories of all the teachers was cute and wholesome plus the whole thing about Director Clavell forgiving and helping team star makes it seem like he is truely good. Maybe the old teachers were all bad and geeta plans were ruined when they left but I’m kinda suspicious about the part 2 of the new dlc. The blueberry academy seems like it has potential to be the antagonists. Why are our characters there? From the trainers we see in the promo it definitely gives like mean rich private school types. Maybe the story is we have to infiltrate this school and save Terrapagos?

In my playthrough, I looked at that as a take on how some companies hire people that hack them or how some governmental agencies hire hackers to work for them. I still believe it is something like that, but she mind end up unknowingly have her talents be used for something bad!

I don't think the other League members are involved, they have a dislike for Geeta, + she controls the school, the League, she clearly has influence over people like Mona and she has a Pokemon from Area 0. She is literally haunting your movements, checking where you are, where you live, how strong you are. Geeta is luring you into a falls sense of security, thats how I feel about her. And she's using Nemona to do it, and Nemona is oblivious to it.

You have Rika and Hassel showing up as well during your adventure, though. I agree that Geeta would be the big bad one, though I think it is impossible no one around would know about that... but it is possible!

@@notsoAceTrainer I think Rika and Hassel were told to go there, basically but perhaps not told the reason why and you being there is a coincedence for them, but they still have to report in, Geeta basically is using her power as Top Champion and Chairwoman to survey you and keep tabs on you. Basically you are told to do your job but there is a secondary motive behind it. Arven mentions that his mothers death makes no sense, Penny also knows more than she's saying. Something very fishy is going on and they are using the protagonist , you to do it.

Personally I think only Geeta is evil. Hassel and Rika treat us well, as they are genuinely cheering you on, and Hassel literally cries for you when you beat the league, so I don’t think either are evil. Poppy is too young to be evil, and Larry hates Geeta, so no way would he work for her if she was evil

Geeta doesn't treat us poorly if you think about it - she's actually interested in us from the get-go, since she got info on us from Rika! Larry is Geeta's handyman, meaning he might not like being overworked, but he does whatever she says and Poppy could be like many other "gifted" children in fiction and simply have a tendency for the worst. As I said in other replies - they might not be Team Rocket evil or Team Flare evil, but just a Macro Cosmos/Aether Foundation type of thing where they have a goal that is good but they are reaching it through questionable means.

It could, though I'm not on that wavelength. Anime canon and game canon are completely separated, apart from a few Easter eggs, with the anime at this point seeming mostly disconnected as well - it feels like it will be a journeys type of anime with various regions being visited. Exploration is the main theme of Gen9 though, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the compass playing some role on both the Volt Tacklers and the Explorers, but not on the same level as in the game. I could be wrong though!

Geetas design kinda creeps me out, mostly because she doesn't give off the same vibe as the other characters, her proportions seem a tad off, and how her hair physics are so wonky. I had the idea that maybe she's from another world like ultra beasts in sun and more, or she's from another time, perhaps the future

I did not know about those Greek legends. Now I wish they’d gone down that route. Prometheus has a very interesting legend tied to him as a bearer of light, much like Terapagos. Imagine if Arceus saw Terapagos as a threat and Geeta neutralised the threat against Terapagos. Pure, pure conjecture of course. I have no idea how they’d pull that off but it’s fun to think about the possibilities.

Speaking of myths and arceus, I had a theory for awhile now. So you know how more than one pokemon share a pokedex Classification, so here is my theory, sense pokemon games takes place in a multiverse I theorise not all universes in the pokemon multiverse were created by the arceus species by other Pokemon species with the Alpha pokdex Classification well. These said other Alpha Pokemon Species could be based off characters from other creation mythos in real life. Another theory of mine is with every individual alpha pokemon species there would be another edition/volume of national pokedex seperate from one with have right now. tied to it. This due to said individual alpha pokemon species would of created there own collection of pokemon species which would only be found in said world/creation. A way to Classify what edition of pokedex you be looking it would be by the symbol of said alpha pokemon that created those species. So for the current pokedex you would use the symbol if an arceus. A rule to note though is only 1 alpha pokemon species may be in said pokedex unless the creation myth the pokedex was tied to had more than one maker character.

Oh my goodness. I just realized something. Who use compasses? EXPLORERS! Who is the evil team of pokemon horizons? THE EXPLORERS! What are the explorers after? THE NECKLACE THAT HOLDS THE PRE-TERAPAGOS! I didn't think that your crack theory worked until I made that connection. YOU'RE RIGHT!!! Unless game freak decides not to follow through with this, which is a 50/50, because yes, it's game freak, they're lazy, but also, this is pokemon scarlet and violet, the second story based pokemon game, right next to pokemon black and white. in both games, the champion wasn't the final boss in the story. In BW, the champion is post game stuff, and in SV, the champion is just one of three stepping stools to getting to the final chapter of the story, and the league is just a side plot, the main plot is the one with arven. I am afraid of what Geeta could do if she just made her team competitively viable. We all know how hard BDSP Cynthia is (the difficulty curve is a flat line right into a brick wall). If she pulls out a very competitively viable team specific to the dlc, I'm going to panic.

Don't forget that Anime Canon and Game Canon don't mix well! The Compass is an important symbol to the whole Gen9 concept since it relates to exploration, which is the main thing around Gen9. It is inspired mostly in Portugal and Spain, 2 countries that had a key role in the Age of Exploration, it is the first open world game, it has a treasure hunt thing going on and the compass even shows up in the loading screen. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they throw a curveball with the Explorers in the anime... but I need to wait more. So far, they seem like good guys to me!

I've been speculating this like sense a week after I beat it wich was in December I feel like Geeta and Larry look soulless and I feel like Geeta is some sorta vessel for the third legendary Pokemon or something of that sort also I believe Geeta being at the to of the school is trying to get solders to fight against kalos again and that's why there is more than one champion each champion has gained the general status. And just to add more to this she has king gambit and glimora. Referencing her as one connected to area zero and two being ready for war. @notsoAceTrainer I've seen sooooo many 'leak' videos claiming to be actual news (and no, just because that leaker is Riddler Khu doesn't make it fact 😤!...sorry I just lost all faith in Khu when they gave the red-haring 'leak' about HUGE PLA NEWS for last April and you could argue that they meant the handbook but Khu even said that's not what they were talking about and it was soley a way to get less 'credible' leakers to stop copying them. Which I understand is annoying but to quote a great man: with great power comes great responsibility. also... the DLC name hints that there is more to area zero that meets the eye, and we already covered the fact that geeta is linked with area zero. the lab of the professer is left quite unexplained, so this could mean that there is evil stuff going on in the lesser explored area. the gym leaders (excluding larry) and poppy are being mislead into thinking they are working for the best, while larry, geeta and hassel are trying to hide it. Why would they put a toddler in the elite 4? it's as if poppy is being raised to believe what they're doing is good?

One thing that I found pretty interesting is that Geeta doesn’t really have a backstory that is shown in the main game. Like every other champion in the series sorta has their past explained and bits of it given… except Geeta. We get nothing about her except that she is the League Chairman and Top Champion. Interesting… I think they are saving it for the DLC. But if Geeta is evil then I can’t see the Elite Four being part. Rika seems genuinely fond of the player and also genuinely respects Geeta, so I don’t Geeta would force her will onto her. Poppy is literally a child and under Rika’s wing so she can’t be a part of it. Also concept art shows Geeta being fond of Poppy, So I can’t see her forcing her will onto her as well. Larry maybe because Geeta is his boss, but that more because he is being ordered rather than him genuinely being evil. Hassel is too emotional, and has formed a genuine bond with the player as their teacher so I can’t see him being evil as well. I mean to be honest I can’t see Geeta also being evil . Maybe she is connected the DLC villain by trying to stop them?

I have a theory of Geeta actually being good that I made a while ago while I tried to "predict" the future of Pokémon, though I can't shake away the feeling that everything feels weird about the League. Even Poppy. You say that because she's a child she can't be part of it, but with that train of thought, why can she be part of the League to begin with? We never had anything like that before... I don't think Geeta has issues with Larry, but the other way around. Geeta is just a very strict boss apparently - which shows in how some of the Gym Leaders perceive her as well. Poppy is a weird one... a child in the Pokémon League? That alone is so suspicious!

It really does... never thought about it! I even made a theory a while ago connecting the dots between Gen9 and the end of Gen8, but that never crossed my mind. Good catch!

Some ideas: The compass is pointed either South-East, or North-West. We know North-West of Paldea is the DLC area along with Unova, the origin of the first Dragon (more on this). Regarding the gloves, something to notice is that not everyone wears it on the right hand. Out of all the elite four, Hassel wears it on his left, meaning placement doesnt matter which hand. Adding the fact that they are all champion ranked trainers, we can look at other champs as possible members. First member(s) would obviously be the Professors. Both seem to hide a single hand, possibly the gloved one, as they may regret joining said orginization as they died protecting the box art legendary. Additionally, they seemed to have been a poor parent, and we see this in Lusamine as Gladion held the same distain as Arven. Unfortunately, thoes arent the only ones, as there are two more possible members. First, we have Director Clavel. In his art and poses there is a lot of emphasis on his right hand, where we might see a glove. I think he might defect, as he truly cares about the students of the school instead of a selfish reason. Next, we have Nemona. From the start, we have always wondered what they thing on her arm is. It is said to help her with catching, but who would provide it? Well, we know Namonas family is well off, considering her home. If this team really does control the region, then her parents might be apart of it. Nemona seems more like a potential candidate rather than a member, but she seems loyal to her friends, and the player character is the only one to beat her. We might battle her as bait, but I think shes just gonna test the player before the Geeta rematch. As mentioned, all the trainers in the org are champs, meaning any gym leader are canidates as theyve all been hand selected by Geeta. And Finally, the first dragon. We all know that what was the first dragon split into three vessles. They all shared the Dragon type, yet 3 differe types were given to each. This could have something to do with Terapagos as both Zekram and Reshiram have types that create bright light, and Kyurems body is crystal and ice. Their goal could be to either retrieve the genetic altering Terapagos to either breakdown or fuse pokemon and get new types (paradoxes) or to either revive the original dragon, or create a new one with futuristic tech. The First Dragon would be either Dragon ot Dragon/Normal as Tri Attack is a Normal type move, when the future one would be another "false dragon" being Electric/Fire, as thats whats left of the first Dragon. This is an interesting theory. I thought the AI Professor is the antagonist and that's it. But you're right. Geeta is also sus and the symbol on her and elite 4's gloves are suspicious. Moreover, one of her Pokemon on her team is Glimmora, which Glimmora suppossed to be one of the Paradox Pokemon. When we arrived on the first lab in Area Zero, we saw a wild Glimmora and CMIIW Nemona mentioning something that makes me feels like she's confirming that Glimmora is a Paradox Pokemon.

One thing that has always confused me was the professors line when you confront them. They said they sent the legendary to you because they had heard of your skill. But what confused me was that you meet the legendary literally minutes after leaving your house to go to your first day at school. Okay, I have never liked Geeta. I'm on the fence about Poppy, but she still super cute, only a CHILD, and Rika is legitimately ONLY the trainer before her because she can bear to disappoint the kid. So, if they're involved, Rika is likely either acting about adoring Poppy, or she's only there to protect Poppy. I feel like if Hassel is involved, it's cause they've got something they're using to make him do what they want. As far as Larry is concerned...let's be real. If he's a bad guy, it's only cause his boss told him to be a bad guy. But there's a whole character growth bit for you and Hassel! THEY CAN'T MAKE MY ART TEACHER A BAD GUY!!!! NOT HIM!!! DX There are a ton of good points in this video though, so...much as I would hate it, I can see it. If they aren't doing it willing though, there are two other possibilities: We've seen neurotoxin used to create villains before. What's Geeta's main? Glimmora. Also, there is a possibility she just knows about big secrets they're trying to keep private and is threatening to expose them if they don't do what she wants. As far as Poppy is concerned, it could just be an "I'm the adult and you're just a kid, so you have to do as I say," kind of thing. If Rika is really that attached to Poppy, there's also a chance that if Geeta is controlling Poppy with power dynamics, Rika might only be following her orders to attempt to keep Poppy safe. I'd say I'm probably overthinking it. But what if, you know? As you pointed out, people in power use their power to manipulate the systems in this world. Plus, this game went darker than any game in the past has. There's no telling what the DLC will bring us...

There's a lot of crazy things going on in these games. We've never had so many possibilities and so many questions left to answer. The League, overall, is strange. How could a toddler be part of it? It doesn't make sense but we see it, same thing with Larry being both a gym leader and an E4 member. There's also the Rose route - there's a somewhat good intention in their action, just questionable means. To me, this seems too farfetched, no pun intended. Ortega already stated that he had the knowledge to put together the vehicles, and his parents were very rich. Not only that, but the lack of a motive, when the true motives of an evil organization have always been hinted at before the ‘big reveal.’ Lead me to believe that the elite four is simply the elite four. Combine that with the fact that the past two DLC were optional, and could be played alongside the base game, both with their own stories, I’m led to believe the elite four’s story is simply over.

The thing is exactly that... they mention here that we will discover the mysteries of Area zero in the indigo disk meaning that the story isn't over at all and can still tie the lose ends left by the main narrative and even build upon it. You cannot play The Indigo Disk without first beating both the game and The Teal Mask (which is also connected to The Indigo Disk through Kieran and Carmine at least).

So i think there are different things going on in the same builiding because some are trying to cover stuff up. Now as for what Blueberry academy is about ive no idea but im sure theres a lot going on with them also, because one thing is for dam certain when it comes to Pokemon, you can almost always follow the money and almost always find yourself at the feet of who the problem is.

I don’t think league is evil tbh I don’t think scarlet and violet has a “true” evil team I’m on both sides of the league and team star cause I kinda understand what team star felt cause I was bullied most my life
