I miss the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics. They opened one in 1992 the year I was born and my mom worked there for like 4 years so I went there 3 or 4 nights a week at least. Very nostalgic. I wish someone would upload a video of the location (2 stage) someone uploaded pictures of the location. I miss that place it closed down 10 years ago. The memories 😭

The ones over here in Rockford were decorated with Halloween costumes, last I was there. They didn't even seem to have any show tapes, it was just a TV with Chuck E. Cheese content. And if there was a showtape I missed, then the animatronics look around every now and then, but don't sing at all. Genuinely sucks.

Sounds like you got there after 6PM. During Halloween that year they had a "Night" show that would only play music videos with no programmed skits.

In general though, it's very sad the condition isn't even good for the final days of these shows while they're still here but I guess that's pretty self explanatory. So many locations don't work at all and it's very sad to see, all we can do is make the most of them like I did with this video, if they can't perform then be creative with it!

Precisely, and while animatronics are of course outdated, I think they would be in a much better place if they didn't downgrade the show experience and cut corners so much over the past couple decades. It's a matter of the effort they put in. Some locations are luckier than others while others aren't so lucky, all we can do at this point is just enjoy them before they meet their fate. :c

Would’ve been more accurate if this was taken at sunrise but nonetheless, quite sad how dead they look. The company literally brighten the entire store up with bright lights, decreased the quality of shows, removed the curtains, and quite literally took the magic away from Chuck E. Cheese in general. Now the company is just another pizza spot and it’ll be surprising if they see a couple of years left in business. Sad times

Spot on! Sunrise was sadly not possible for this, but I think this store worked just as well having Jasper's banjo which matches the original video even better. Truly sad to see what CEC has come to and I did all I could to drive that point into the ground with this video. Thanks for watching!

Thank you, I want CEC Entertainment to see this video and look at what they've done. This video was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up on when I realized how much sense the title makes when you just add "true" in it and film it on a modern day, broken Road Stage, shot for shot from the original video. It's especially good when you watch it with the original side by side. They did not work at all this day I went, and have no plans to take them out of the permanent random mode I heard. The original video was filmed after hours I assume, so I'm sure they had an audience the next day, but yea. There were little kids that went up to the stage and took pictures on multiple occasions throughout the day, if only CEC did things a bit differently because otherwise, they would have that audience!

@@CECStages very good point but I'm just going to tell you the way imagine what stage is supposed be like I can't go without curtains you know In my mind I imagine what they could have done for a 3 stage or a road stage or a 2 stage where there would be a thing where the whole stage turns around kinda like the one Chuck had I've always imagined the perfect illusion of the band really going behind the stage and coming out as the mascots the magic is broken and listen here aswell you know the sign that says make magic without it were just another pizza place it's also kinda like the future of Chuck e cheese tape but a sign because there is no magic anymore

@@chuckecheesemodesto8964 Funny you say that, because during this visit I listened to some old CEC songs, one of them being American Pride Segment 3 of course like in this video, and I just sat, stared, and imagined. I imagined what it would look like if they were still lively to this day and I tried to take in every moment possible, but also every moment of history this particular stage has been through because each one has their own story and has been around for at least over 20 years, for cyberamics that is, and it's just crazy to look at them and think that at one point they were in their prime. Listening to old songs in front of the stage the closest you'll ever get to classic CEC these days.

@@CECStages so so so so true brother the manager at my Chuck e cheese recognizes the old CEC and what it use to be my local is in my name but the manger gave me a avenger plush that was in the kitchen for a long long time and he gave it to me and they recognize me as the kid with the avenger plush my local doesn't have bad bots because they care about them there's a few things here and there with jasper but other than that it's just they realize the pain without the animatronics fun fact they don't have enough money to get rid of them that's a good thing and if someone steals chucks microphone they replace it Same as pasquallys drumsticks and they let me see the cyberstar

I heard from someone that the manager of this particular Road Stage said "Whatever mode they're in, they're in" as they are anticipating 2.0 possibly. Now that line can be taken out of context, maybe the tech just wasn't there that day, but the fact that a manager would even say something like that shows how this company has totally lost it. Glad your store actually cares, a rare thing these days.

Me too! I only played one game there, the games are awesome don't get me wrong especially the locations that have really good ones and I'll always love them, but for a single trip, I wanna spend as much time as possible with the shows while we still have them, because the games could be played anytime after the remodels are complete, despite the fact I don't plan to even go past the remodels.
