That is roughly 0.75% of the world’s population. However, nearly all of the army at this point is male. So that is 4.6 million men that died. Chop that 610 million in half and we get 305 million. Which means that 1.5% of the male population died in that war. EDIT: it got even worse. Since the war was nearly entirely fought within Europe, then it is safe to assume most of those casualties were Europeans. The European population in 1700 was 98 million. The total European population that died would be roughly 4.7% The total European male population that died would be roughly 9.4%

Weirdly this was probably my favourite HoI4 part pf any megacampaign despite how overpowered you supposedly were Probably had to do with the Transcaucassian Blitzkrieg desttoying your industru, but still, just way more fun than normally which is just a nonstop stomp from your nation

Most cursed Mega Campaign 2024 idea: Mega Campaign Roulette! Start as a character in CK III and then at the start of each new game, put all the Great Powers except for the one you played as last game on the old magical country picking wheel and let it spin, then play as that nation for the rest of the game before rinsing and repeating in the next one. The resulting chaos and instability should be legendary.

So for this years megacampaign I think one of these might be fun: An Egyptian start as either an heir of Alexander or one of the Pharaoic dynasties (I suggest the Ptolemaïc dynasty because its perfect for the whole CK joke of "incest fun". A start in Africa becoming a black viking. A start in India transitioning to Japan in EU4 (Indian Shogunate). Anything into a Caribbean pirate nation. Ulm (into Stellaris too, because of the planet).

I have two suggestions for the mega campaign! 1. Start as the Count of Geneva; limiting your expansion in ck3 to alpine or swiss areas with the intention to form the Calvinist Genevan Consistory in eu4, then try to convert the whole world, only directly controlling strategic "holy sites". Inspired by the Magisterium from Golden Compass/His Dark Materials 2. Start as the Ras (count) of Dämbiya; Jewish Ethiopia but, the twist is at some point you take back the holy land, but while your brother or whatever inherits "Beta Israel" you inherit "ALPHA ISRAEL" then go on to conquer the world from the Holy City
