The Blacktron gave me the feelings of secret agents, doing everything they can to save lives. Like for example the Mission Impossible or James Bond

That's a really cool perspective! Makes sense logically with the Black Classic Spacemen being spies too :)

The black-and-yellow triangle symbol is the same as that of Shadow Force, the bad guys from the Starcom cartoon.

I did not know that, fascinating!

Never cared if they were bad or good guys for me they were lego astronauts exploring 😃

That's totally fair! What you have shared highlights that space exploration doesn't have to be all about good guys versus bad guys :)

First! Seems like blacktron likes those camera pieces. I always to B2 as a special forces unit, and B1 as the scouting party because of the minifigure pack having both gens of blacktron in it

They do indeed LOL (and congrats!) ! That makes sense, especially since it appears that they didn't exactly "replace" each other but rather exist together.

@minifigsinspace also, are they using the microphone as a blaster or as a microphone? Cause every image I see of them with it, the context is the same.

It's actually a complicated answer. The LEGO company at the time had a "no weapon" policy for their products, so the designers had to get creative. There was an interview where a designer acknowledged that the accessories (like camera and megaphone) were intended to be sci-fi weapons, in addition to the radars and antennas on spaceships. But the way that they are portrayed were intentionally done to avoid looking like weapons (such as the megaphone). I hope this helps! :)

Are Blacktrons evil? Maybe just misunderstood. Large organizations are often described as evil. but does this also apply to each individual employee?

@minifigsinspace it does, but hurts my wallet. I want the best looking Blacktron Army and weapons are a pain to find for them

@minifigsinspace same regalia, nearly the same emblem/logo, risk takers and rule breakers willing to damage property if it means saving lives, exactly what corporate cops would be against & generate propoganda to counter.

Nope. Not bad guys… Opposing yes, but from our point of view the greedy Futuron Corporation are the bad guys… Remember we “saved the human race”…

What you have shared puts a totally different perspective on Futuron! 😄 Now all I can think of is them being a utopian dictatorship that's really dystopian LOL
