As someone with mars in cancer, I find mars in capricorn the most beautiful position in a mars (or even comparing to any other planet in any other sign). My mother had this and oh my! She was the most enduring person I ever met. She battled cancer for 10+, the doctors had told us she would die in less than 2 years when it was found, and a few months before she died, i swear to god, she could still kick all of our buts.

You perfectly described my aunt who has mars exalted in the first house. She rose very prominently as a secretary/doing administrative work, even to the point of becoming the secretary of the prime minister for 7 years(can you guess which dasha it was?hahaha). She's an extremely tenacious person who was said to leave work later than her peers everyday and is given salutes even by the service to this day. She's always been the type to tell us to finish something properly before moving onto the next task and wastefulness was a sin in her eyes. She'd be the one to plan out itineraries for our vacations but we still saw a bit of the explosiveness come out due to its conjunction with ketu. Great video Vic

I personally knew two men w/ Capricorn in the last degrees of Uttara Ashadha and might be due to others influences (both are just 1 birth-day away & both have mercury and venus in Vishakha) they ended up in the same university, never knew eachother, somehow came into my life to teach me about the virtues of self-reliant and tenacious, critical of what you know and to apply them in real world! To confirm, I have this placement in the 9th house. I’m Taurus Asc, so Aries rules my 12th house AND Mars is my Atmakarka. Ugh you pegged me down, Only thing is I do care what people think, but that allows me to double back, check my work and then be like “nah I’m good, you’re the one who’s stupid”😂 both my moon and Mars is In purva ashada 10th house. I do have conflict with starting/finishing things because I need to know all the angles before I start. It took me much longer than my other competitors to open a business, but I see when the chips are down, I have staying power where they do not, where they are puffs of smoke doing fanfare in social media, I am quiet, getting sales, staying up at night making inventory, constantly working, moving inventory with strategy. Where Mars wants to bust out with new ideas, while I appreciate it, I make sure I have something in place and then I start to see if it will be feasible, I test the market a lot. The thing about finding the hole in people’s armor, you are correct, and when I do “poke the hole” I find it enjoyable, like I said in the Sagittarius one, I enjoy making a person incoherent and I do attack with words and intelligence, attacking the flaws in logic. This is my tropical position. I do find it more fitting than the Vedic position.

Hi Vic! Was wondering lately if exaltation or debilitation really matters with regards to intellectual prowess(and success) or just general success(like athletic or business ). I would be glad if you could do a chart analysis of following well known successful entrepreneurs and athletes : Just one case comes to my mind : Sam Harris : Has 3 debilitated/fallen planets including Mercury, Saturn and Mars(which is retrograde). What explains Sams success as an intellectual powerhouse?

It certainly matters. Sam has no known birthtime, so do not rely on his chart for learning how to interpret. He has exalted Jupiter saving debilitated Mercury by perfect trine aspect. He also has exalted Sun saving debilitated Saturn. Who knows what houses these planets rule, that is important.

Exaltation is good for the graha, but not necessarily good for you. Saturn in Libra is a great example of it, it accelerates karma, it's not good per se unless Saturn is a functional benefic.

Hey bro ! Yes, in this current age, or epic, or mahaDasha (of Earth life), you can say. Wheels within wheels, as Ezekiel said. Cycles. But Nakshatras/rashis change in relation to each other. So now, there's the two Ashadas in Capricorn, Saturn's sign, and also good stuff on Aquarian side too, and it works with Saturn's natural significations. So some other time in past or future, different nakshatras will occupy Capricorn (or any sign, since the Dharma of the Wheel is to turn) and reality will manifest differently through those different significations.
