The Lord has been putting this on my heart over the last 18months. In September I finally surrendered my fri sundown to sat sundown to the Lord and rest in Him. My Husband and Children have not participated with me “yet” but I pray one day they will. As a Christian the more I studied I cannot deny how important it is for us to go back to the true roots of our spiritual inheritance and Gods commandments are still for us today!

The same happened to me in the last year. By reading the Bible by myself , also the Tanakh the Hebrew bible. I understood that observing ha Shabbat in this age is like spitting upon the darwin vomit. Cause G-od created us not a monkey. I'm 4 years believer , I never went to church. The thing is I still have not clear what to do and not during Shabbat. As Yeshua observed the Shabbat. About urgent things, about things that u must do on Shabbat and not other day. Like sport activity that cannot be done on other day during the week...

It’s the right day, we have to OBEY GOD, and the 4th commandment it’s a blessing for all of us, Friday sunset, the Holy Sabbath begin until Saturday sunset 🙏 Even Jesus fulfilled this commandment resting on a Friday all the way to be resurrected on the first day of the week. Sabbath doesn’t mean Saturday or the seventh day. It means the day of rest. The universe has been created within six days. The day after the sixth day has nothing to do because the universe has been completed in six days. So every day after the sixth day is Sabbath. Calendar wasn’t exist from the beginning. Days are eternal. We humans marked and named them. Days didn’t fall from the sky. Common sense.

The days start at sunset to sunset.. Records show Passover was Wednesday sunset and The Suffering Servant who took the sins of the world was executed on a tree and put into the tomb before sunset which gives Wednesday night/Thursday night/Friday night & Thursday Day/Friday Day/ SaturdayDay & rose sometime after sunset Saturday night… the woman came early while still dark & Messiah was already gone.

Sunday keepers have been conditioned by the Jezebel church to believe that it is the day that Jesus was resurrected from the grave, and that Christians are obligated to celebrate this event with corporate worship. That is what happens when man's false traditions are elevated above God's revelation: ppl start to accept the former as truth.

Yes, I believe it is important. God has His systems in place for a reason. If you follow them, you will reap a blessing. In the U.S. it can be challenging to keep the sabbath when you work for a traditional company so I just substitute a different day off instead, but I take at least one day. When you are self-employed you can take the designated Sabbath from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. Part of me thinks this is why so many Jewish people are self-employed. They seek to honor God first and it is easier to keep the Sabbath this way. Some people think that they will be missing out if they take that one day off but God is able to increase your business revenue on the other days so that you won’t even miss it. There are benefits to following God.

It says in the creation account that God bless the seventh day and I can tell you Friday night at sundown to Saturday night at sundown seems to be the greatest day of the week. I was in a Messianic congregation for 10 years. I learned so much that’s missing in Christianity from the Jewish believers. It’s amazing. Unfortunately, Scriptures are clear about the 10 Commandments and the purpose that they were given to the Jewish people the gentiles have a conscience that is a law unto them, Romans speaks clearly of this. The book. Hebrew says that, God, resting from his work on the seventh day is a shadow in the old testament of us resting from our works to gain salvation through our effort. I can only surmise that if you want to keep the sabbath day, you need to keep the rest of the law, because if you break one part of it, you’ve broken it all and Paul Warned us not to go back under the law now that we’re under grace. My personal teaching is that we’re not to break the commandments because if you teach that then there’s a problem but my true belief is that Jesus is the only one that ever could keep all the commandments not just the 10 but the 613 additional laws. When addressing the new gentiles into the church in the book of acts, it clearly came up with the four suggestions and said they would do well if they kept them no mention of the sabbath or circumcision or any other beautiful shadows filled in the new. I believe strongly that the one who did keep the law lives inside of me and because of that, I establish the law by the law keeper living in me his temple. If you want to keep the Sabbath Friday night Saturday night mazel tov but you’re not required to I do believe the Jewish people keep it as it is a big part of their identity and I support fully, the nation of Israel in hopes that they come to know Yeshua. What you started in the spirit and I wanna go back on the Law Galatians 3 vs 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh? Free from the Law of sin and death reread Romans. Shabbot Shalom

No one is really arguing that God shouldn't be worshiped every day. We're talking about the importance of keeping the Sabbath holy like God commanded in His law. It's the 1 day of the week that is supposed to be dedicated entirely to rest and worship. It is more important than every other day of the week because it's God's.
@oprophetisfake94823 күн бұрын
Jesus said that His Father was still working. When it says God rested in Genesis it doesn't mean that God stopped altogether. Though He had created all things, they still need sustaining. But that doesn't mean that we are not to rest once a week. The Sabbath was given for man, and man was made to have periods of rest. One of the things that annoys me is when employers work their employees to breaking point in the name of "productivity". Too many employers and managers think that they can always give people more work, and expect them to keep up. What is happening too often is that people can't keep up, and become sick, and then they have to quit early, and the company looks for someone else to break. There is an old saying that "You can't get a quart out of a pint pot." You cannot expect to overwork either people or machines without something breaking down.

1 Cor. 16:2 says no such thing. Paul clearly refers to Sunday as being a common work day, hence "first day of the week". There is no sacred status attached to it. Paul is also seen telling the Corinthians to do the work of laying aside their donations on this day, something that would've been prohibited on the Sabbath.

Sabbath for Christians: Matthew 24:20-21 Christ talks about the importance of it up to the last days Hebrews 4:9-11 Paul says the sabbath remains for new believers. Paul’s letters says Jewish believers and gentile believers gathered on the sabbath when Paul preached. Does this mean become a 7th day Adventist? No Does it mean give up Sunday? No You can keep it at home and watch messianic Jewish services. Rabbi Shneider is a messianic jew, so you’re already familiar with them.

Does the Sabbath rest have to be from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday or is that just for Jews. The new testament never mentioned following the Jewish Sabbath. It really is confusing when it comes to gentile Christians having to keep the Sabbath when the Bible doesn't make it clear. Can somebody please clarify how non Jews should keep the Sabbath.
@geraldhoskowicz51573 күн бұрын
From what I understand gentile Born Again Christians who want to practice a Sabbath should do it on a Saturday. I would say midnight Friday to Saturday. Also you have to remember that Old Adam and Eve were nailed to the Cross with the law. Practicing a Sabbath is unnecessary because it is a work. Works don't count towards rewards in Heaven. The rewards are stubble, hay, sticks, silver, gold, and precious stones. (not sure about hay) When Yeshua with His fiery gaze looks at your rewards the stubble, hay, sticks will burn, but the silver, gold, and precious stones won't. Works with the law were nailed to the Cross because Every Man Failed and also to keep us from boasting. I don't practice a Sabbath because I TRY to rest on GOD every day. I pray at least 4 times a day and talk to GOD all day. I read and study the Bible with Les Feldick. He's the best Bible teacher. IF you can't maybe a Fellowship with Born Again Christians at gathering place or Church might help you. Take care and GOD bless you and yours. ✝️❤️✌️

God is the same yesterday today and forever. The Bible says you are the new Israel. You have been "grafted in". Keep the Sabbath isn't a Jewish thing it's a follower of God thing. In Deuteronomy it says "even the foreigner among you must keep my laws and Sabbath". Jesus followed The Sabbath as did the disciples and they taught the churches to follow it as well. God commanded we keep it for ALL generations. Romans 11:11-31 Exodus 31:13 Exodus 12:49 Mark 2:27 Acts 18:4 Acts 17:2 Luke 23:56 Isaiah 58:13 Leviticus 23:3 Keeping The Sabbath has been changed by man not by God. The church as a whole doesn't understand the scriptures and is under a deception thinking it was changed. God says to worship him as HE commanded. I want to be clear we are not saved by keeping the law it is a gift of God lest anyone should boast. We keep the law out of worship and love. For Jesus himself said "Those who love me keep my Commandments" -John 14:15-16. None of the feast days are " Jewish" holidays. They are God's Holy days and those that follow him are required to uphold them not the pagan holidays of the world (Easter/Christmas/Halloween/ dia de muertos)... Instead we are to keep The Sabbath, Passover, Feast of Tabernacles(Jesus birth),;Feast of Atonement, Yom Kippur, etc, as stated in Leviticus 23. We are to keep them from generation to generation! Jesus told his disciples to imitate Him. If Jesus kept it and the disciples did the church should as well since like I stated above we have been grafted into Israel. We are now spiritual Israel.

@JDA89 there are passengers in the Bible that show we are still in the seventh Day. If that is so, then should we not keep every day Holy? The commandments say keep Holy the Sabbath Day. Surely God wants us to keep every day Holy? All the rules and regulations that the Pharisees added do not apply. Jesus condemned the Pharisees calling them vipers and sons of Satan. He said that He is Lord of the Sabbath. He fulfilled the Law and gave us 2 commandments; To love God above all things with all our hearts, minds, souls and strength, and love our neighbour as ourselves. He is our rest. "If you love me, Jesus said, keep my commandments " The Sabbaths apply to Holy Days and years of rest for the land. When God bless the Sabbath Day could that indicate all days after creation? If we are in the 7th day still? These are legitimate questions. It is not clear that we should follow Jewish traditions. Jesus put an end to sacrifices by His death on the cross. No more sacrifices required. Hallelujah! We are saved by Faith in the blood of Jesus Christ shed for all sinners. We rest in Jesus Christ our Saviour.

A Sabbath or THE Sabbath? Remeber and keep the Sabbath Holy. Six days we labor. Is there an emphasis on this day being Saturday specifically?

Yes. God clearly says "remember THE Sabbath" in Exo. 20. It is not up to us to decide which day we want to dedicate to God. God already consecrated and blessed the time period from Fri. sunset and Sat. sunset period as His. He placed His presence on this specific period of time, and we are not to profane it by doing our own work.

@@theeternalsbeliever1779 I'd agree; however, the municipalities requiring around-the-clock service in our society bring another dynamic. A society in which almost all of us operate. An individual observing the Sabbath using the electricity is in direct violation. Arguably, given that the US military works every hour, everyone in the USA must allow others to work on The Sabbath Day to secure their freedom. Do you know how this applies to our situation?

The bible/hebrew scriptures tell us YeHoVaH says to keep his 7 High Holy days & Sabbath Forever… even the Gentiles grafted into the Jewish root/tree. Not mans traditions ie Xmas Easter halloween etc… these are NOT from God!! Charity for widows & orphans 🙏❣️

Jesus said He is Lord of the Sabbath which means that we're to rest in Him daily... not just one day a week.
@SpiritAndLawSonship17 сағат бұрын
That’s not what it means. It means that though we are commanded to rest on Sabbath, “Saturday”, if the Holy Spirit/The Lord has us to do something for Him on that day instead of fully resting, then He is The Lord & we obey His every command even if it looks like we are “working” doing something for Him on our rest day. Amen ❤🎉

@mrsp-x6u God told Israel to keep the Sabbath. Exodus 31:13-17 Jubilees 2 Jewish law would not apply to the nations. Psalm 147:19-20 Acts 21:25 Romans 9:4 vs. Romans 2:14

The Sabbath (Hebrew shabbath, H7676, meaning "sabbath", derived from the Hebrew word shabath, H7673, meaning "rest, cease"), as part of the Mosaic Law, was ONLY for the nation of fleshly Israel, as God told them at Exodus 16:28, 29: "So Jehovah (God's name, see Ex 6:3, KJV, speaking through his angelic representative, "the angel of his presence", Isa 63:9, KJV, that later came to be known as Jesus Christ, see 1 Cor 10:1-4) said to Moses: “How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws ?" "Take notice of the fact that Jehovah has given YOU (the nation of fleshly Israel) the Sabbath. That is why he is giving YOU the bread (or "manna", H4478, meaning "What is it", Ex 16:15) for two days on the sixth day (which ONLY the nation of fleshly Israel received)." "Everyone must stay where he is; nobody is to leave his locality on the seventh day (in which Saturday is the "seventh day of the week, named in honor of the Roman god Saturn. In Latin, Saturday was called dies Saturni (or "day of Saturn"); it was called Sater-daeg by the Anglo-Saxons" or in old English, Microsoft Encarta Reference Library 2005).” At Exodus 31, it states: "Jehovah said further to Moses: “Speak to the ISRAELITES and tell them, ‘Especially ("especially", Hebrew 'ak, meaning "a particle of affirmation, surely, only"), YOU (the nation of fleshly Israel) are to keep my sabbaths, for it is a sign between me and YOU during your generations in order that you may know that I, Jehovah, am sanctifying YOU (or the nation of fleshly Israel)." "YOU must keep the Sabbath, for it is something holy to YOU. Whoever (among the nation of fleshly Israel) profanes it must be put to death. If anyone does any work on it, then that person (or Israelite) must be cut off (or put to death) from among his people." "Six days work may be done, but on the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest. It is something holy to Jehovah. Anyone doing work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. The ISRAELITES must keep the Sabbath; THEY must observe the Sabbath during all THEIR generations. It is a lasting covenant. It is an enduring sign between me and the people of ISRAEL."(Ex 31:12-17) At Matthew 12, Jesus showed that the Sabbath was already "being dismissed" for true Christians, for he was walking with some of his disciples far from "his locality (of Capernaum) on the seventh day", so that the Pharisees took issue with them eating some of the grain as they passed through a grainfield.(Matt 12:1, 2) And the apostle Paul was also far from "his locality (of Syria of Antioch) on the seventh day", being in Perga some 300 miles west "from home" on the Sabbath (Acts 13:13), for he NO longer observed the Mosaic Law, pointing out that "God.......kindly forgave us all our trespasses and erased the handwritten document (of the Mosaic Law) that consisted of decrees (such as the sabbath), and was in opposition to us.".(Col 3:13, 14) So, at Matthew 5:17, Jesus said that he would fulfill the Mosaic Law and at Hebrews 8:13, the apostle Paul wrote: "In his saying “a new covenant,” he has made the former one (the Mosaic Law with its sabbath, that applied ONLY to the Jews) obsolete. Now what is obsolete and growing old is near to vanishing away." At Ephesian 2, the apostle Paul wrote: "At that time you were without Christ (or in an "uncircumcised" state), alienated from the state of Israel, strangers to the covenants of the promise; you had no hope and were without God in the world." "But now in union with Christ Jesus, you who were once far off have come to be near by the blood of the Christ. For he is our peace, the one who made the two groups (Jews and Gentiles) one and destroyed the wall (of the Mosaic Law) in between that fenced them off." "By means of his flesh he abolished the enmity, the (Mosaic) Law of commandments consisting in decrees (such as the Sabbath), in order to make the two groups in union with himself (through "the new covenant") into one new man and to make peace, and to reconcile fully both peoples (Jews and Gentiles) in one body to God through the torture stake, because he had killed off the enmity (of the Mosaic Law with its Sabbath) by means of himself."(Eph 2:12-16) True Christians are under "the law of the Christ" (Gal 6:2), by ' exercising faith in the only-begotten Son of God '.(John 3:16)

Why would Christians go by the 10 commandments which were never given to them? As the commandments of Jesus was given to the Gentiles. John 14:15 1 John 2:3-4 Those who say they know me and keep not MY commandments is a liar. I Michael have spoken

We worship YeHoVaH God ,we read Torah every day and every Sabbath .Wrong interpretation of Paul makes all this mess. 10 commandments is absolutely basic just to start understanding what God wants from us and what Yehoshuah Ha Messiah really teaches. We haven't got religion because religion is an enemy of faith.
