i watched an hour video deepdive into this subject and that became my conclusion with each passing minute lol idk what capote & dan for that matter were expecting tho sure, the majority pretty much has always had a fascination with this topic but like ... ur spilling boiling hot tea that you learned either tru confidances/after you changed yourself to fit in ... and you become icarus in the process and bet your closest 'friends' will forgive you bc what ... you did it for the plot?? lmao

I haven’t seen the swans. The only thing that I found compelling about it was the name the swans Tom Hollander supposedly is phenomenal. This guy has an amazing talent the other women, I thought Demi Moore witness cast the same record. It was no vulnerability there there was nothing in what she look like that even resembled in Woodward, we read as well played by Calista Flockhart who is a fine actress and I guess her physique machine that well Naomi Watts was fine but the story in itself was rather boring and what did they expect really they got mad at him for exposing their secrets, but for years he had been gossiping maliciously and viciously about a lot of people. They turn their back on and Woodward, but they went to her funeral, what is the expect from such a man what did they expect? Did they think hiding in the mouth of the wolf would make them safe from his mean-spirited callousness? No I I found it rather boring. It was very OneNote. Yes they get mad at Capote they ostracize Capote Koepka probably goes I mean it was just really stupid

I love that both the late Philip Seymour Hoffman and Toby Jones who both played Truman Capote in Capote and Infamous is featured in this video and I can't wait to see Tom Hollander playing Truman in the series he is a very good and talented actor and he will do a very good job.

I just watched the first two episodes. The age of the cast can be somewhat misleading, but all the actors played their roles exceptionally well. After watching this KZbin video, I googled Turman and his swams' birthday and found out that Truman was younger than most of the swans. Truman was born in 1924, Babe and Ann were born in 1915, Slim was born in 1917, and CZ was born in 1920. Was his relationship with his swans like a younger brother-older sister relationship? Lee, born in 1933, is younger than Turman and the other swans. All these people were depicted in the show as if they were around the same time and often hung out with each other. However, I belive that, in real life, Babe, CZ, and Slim were in the same group. Lee was in a different group, and Ann was never close to the other swans. CZ was also a bit different from the other swans. She was the only one born into an old-money family and then married into a much older old-money family. She did not seem to have a feud with Truman, and she seemed to have a pretty happy, fulfilling life and a successful marriage with her only husband, Winston Guest. She might be the coolest and luckiest among them.

While not a fan of either Capote, the women and their elitist society as a whole, I do think he deserved his punishment. It was a betrayal of confidences and secrets which he wanted to use for his own fame and fortune. Personally, I do not understand anyone's tolerance or fascination with such superficial and self-serving individuals. I find them all extremely boring.

What should be remembered is he was a superb writer with a true feeling for the felicities of the English language, simile, and more; it's all in In Cold Blood. He last year's in NYC were a classic example of hubris, of a great literary artist hoist by his own petard. Once you become a kind of court jester figure to the upper classes you are finished: talk about a Faustian pact. I think Capote started to resent them all - and who can blame him. At some point he forgot his true caller: he was a real writer. But what an utter waste that he blew his talent writing about such a ghastly cohort as The Swans and their entourage.
