The term “unprecedented” has indeed become a fixture in our discussions over the past eight years, reflecting the extraordinary events we’ve witnessed. The election of a president with a felony conviction is a first in U.S. history, marking a significant departure from established norms. This situation underscores the complex interplay between legal frameworks and public sentiment, highlighting the challenges in navigating such uncharted territory. It’s crucial to recognize that while laws provide a structural foundation, the dynamics of human behavior and societal reactions often add layers of complexity that aren’t easily captured on paper. Soooo basically, let’s drop the act. It’s not some deep, sophisticated reasoning y’all want it to be. Come January, there’ll be a convicted felon in the White House, and a big chunk of white Americans and Latino men are just fine with that. Nobody knows what’s next, but one thing’s clear-what used to be a problem? Ain’t anymore.

I did vote for Trump for various reasons and I hope both he and Republican majority will try helping people from the bottom up. I not asking for a hand out, but a hand up to help level the playing field. You may be able to enjoy a $2,000,000 tax benefit on a private jet or yacht while those of us just trying to have a decent automobile to make it to work get nothing. I have been amazed at discovering that an estate worth more than $12,000,000 can write off funeral expenses while many Americans have went to cremation without a service because even cremation alone can. Cost a family $5,000. It's hard for families or older people with health issues to just keep the power on and food to eat. I just want the playing field leveled a bit and I hoping or thinking that this time around both the president and Congress may not seem so one sided and giving the majority of largest tax breaks to the wealthiest of Americans...

Donald Trump has made various comments that have raised eyebrows, but he has not explicitly stated that he wants to be a dictator. However, some of his remarks and actions-such as expressing admiration for authoritarian leaders, joking about serving beyond two terms, or making statements that have been perceived as undermining democratic norms-have led critics to suggest he has authoritarian tendencies or ambitions. Trump and his supporters often characterize these remarks as hyperbole or jokes, while opponents argue they reflect a concerning attitude toward democratic principles.

I stood looking at eighteen men from South Los Angeles; most were far older than me, some with a criminal history, one would later threaten my life. I only met them hours ago, and now we were going to be fighting brush fires up and down California. I had the responsibility as their supervisor to keep them out of danger, which led to this dilemma: to what degree do I risk my life for their safety? I wasn't sure I wanted to die for these men. If a helicopter were to pick us up with a fire closing in, what if there wasn't enough room? Would I trade places and stay behind if it meant certain death? I didn’t have the answer, but since I volunteered for this special assignment I decided I had to do everything within my power to keep them alive. A couple years later I had children, and what was already a hard dilemma became harder. I sat in silence with my thoughts, envisioning my daughter's face going to bed without a father. I could see my two sons growing up and learning to be men without me. I could see my wife. These thoughts haunted me. Wouldn't my kids be better off being raised by a father with flawed integrity, rather than being left with the memory of a dead father who kept his integrity? Maybe- but my kid's well-being wasn't my greatest priority; if you're a follower of Jesus, doing the right thing is always of highest importance (you learn the "right thing" by studying God's word and making it central in your life). Regardless of my own desires, being a senior firefighter gave me the moral obligation to put the lives of these men ahead of my own. Fast forward a few more years, and the date is September 11, 2021 - the twentieth anniversary of 9/11. That day I was only responsible for five firefighters. In the afternoon we responded to a brush fire burning a quarter mile from homes and from hundreds of stranded motorists. Flames exceeded fifty feet in length, moving at 80 mph in a vortex. We positioned ourselves ahead of the fire where visibility was good. But the fire intensified, mistakes were made (mine), and it was time to pull back. As the fire closed in, the road narrowed, visibility became poor, and fire equipment crowded the road. Once my crew was inside of our engine I breathed a sigh of relief; a short drive up the road would prevent the fire from encircling us. Then, inexplicably, I saw figures standing in a huddle out in the smoke. The scene made no sense to me. I had no idea who this crew was or how many were outside, but I knew it was too late to evacuate on foot. The decision to leave my engine and go to them was made in seconds. At that moment I believed two things: we wouldn't have enough time to load the crew before the fire hit, and even if we did, we all couldn't fit inside. As I returned to my engine with them my sole focus was loading as many as we could, as quickly as we could. My engine crew fit five of them in the back, and another two jumped in my seat - the last man receiving burns to the back of his neck as the fire chased him in. With my four firefighters plus these seven, the cab was packed so tightly the doors wouldn't fully shut. In God's providence another engine had waited, simultaneously picking up the others outside. I ran to the other side of my engine to await my fate on the road as time slowed down. I stared at the ground, finding no way out, feeling the greatest sadness. The images of my kids growing up without me was clear in my mind, weighing heavily. I wished things had played out differently, but this was the decision I made years ago and it was the right one. Yet God wasn't done with me. John, the driver, threw open his door revealing one spot left. I launched myself over the top of him, landing partially on the center console where I laid as he confidently drove us out. I hope it could be said I demonstrated a willingness to do what was right, even at great expense. In this case a single decision was likely to bring harm to my kids, but life to strangers. Why am I telling this story? To expose evil. Last week on November 5, I made a decision that resulted in many loud voices proclaiming my lack of integrity. While I typically don't feel the need to defend myself, this Veterans Day I am reminded of my friends who served this country with distinction in some of the most adverse circumstances. The attacks on my integrity weren’t against me alone, but also them, and many of you. The decision we made last Tuesday followed many considerations. T has a foul mouth, he's prideful, and he’s attracted to power. K built her career by imprisoning the poor who committed trivial crimes and locking up the parents of truant students; she even wrote a book on it. Recently, young women are forced to share locker rooms with men, children's bodies are mutilated, and schools prevent parents from caring for their own children. Only one of the candidates above stands against such insanity. One of the two choices above would tip power to an organization whose primary purpose is the dismemberment of little humans - many people can't come to terms with the gravity of this topic, so they casually explain it away as "choice", as if being more powerful than another gives you the right to choose whether they live or die. Last week’s decision ended up being easy to make. And while I understand those who are angry, fearful, and disagree with our decision, when they go further and suggest our decision was based on misogyny, hate, ignorance, and a lack of integrity, they are guilty of evil that was identified in our most basic moral code, the ten commandments: “you shall not bear false witness against your neighbor". The values I demonstrated in my story are not unique, and yet exemplify a willingness to place my personal desires aside and subject them to the authority of God’s word. My actions have proven our accusers false. Pursuing the greater good and loving my neighbor in the context of God’s plan for individuals, families, and governing authorities served as the basis for my November 5 decision. Those who malign our character because they disagree with our conclusion are guilty of slander. Their actions are not excused by emotion, but reveal a heart that chose evil when facing hardship. Do not be deceived: neither “thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God”. This warning applies to all of us, especially those who look at the speck in their brother’s eye and yet “pay no attention to the plank” in their own eye.

I like commenting here since it’s an incest of red. But you saying Ceaser was a good dictator is laughable…there is a reason he got shanked to death. Donny and the boys cause an insurrection last time he was voted out of office democratically. Now you have him in office again with the same fan base. That’s a compass for concern. Because during that time…”all of our countries” checks and balances stood on the knife edge of a few people making decision. This isn’t about how the government works, it’s about the fact that they can forcibly take over with the pore power they have gained through the sheep that follow blindly. You’re dumbing it down to sound like it’s not a problem. American is now like any 3rd world shit hole country, there has been an attempted insurrection, we print money for shits and giggles, and we have a bunch of citizen who take no accountability for the life choices and want the government to help them since they see other abusing the social government programs.
