Vietnam is a super safe society (no mass shootings, no racism, no discrimination, no terrorism, no bank robberies, no organized crimes), free & low cost living, beautiful scenery, Hoi An small ancient city (UNESCO), delicious foods, cheap prices, friendly local people, etc. That's enough, there aren't many places like it in the world. Yet you still complain and get upset over the little things...? Japan, Singapore and Taiwan are great countries, but to live there you must have a large monthly spending budget in USD, and the legal system is very strict for startups and foreigners not like in Vietnam

Any thoughts about life for retired older people and couples in Danang or Nha Trang? How tolerable is the oppressive heat and humidity??

We feel like the humidity is not that bad. I mean you can feel it everywhere, but I don't feel like it is oppressive. I guess it also depends what time of the year you visit. For couples I think it is amazing - the beach, many restaurants and some many places to visit and see.
