Sometimes when I see most partners arguing or fighting over gender roles, I'm baffled if they didn't talk or plan how they will run their homes as to who, when and how before agreeing to marry or live together expecialy with kids. Modern men and women should know situations determine who plays what roles and at what time. Basic survival skills like cooking, cleaning should be everyone's job.. Don't have kids if you are not ready to sacrifice to raise them.. Whether as a man or woman.

I'm glad that you made this video, I live in Sweden. A lot of men that are non western have a big problem with western modern women. They have the tendency to treat western women like women from their home country. I tell non western men if you want a traditional woman then get a woman from your home country.

The old school way works if you as a man the only provider for the family and your wife doesn't go to work so she does everything at home. As a eastern european guy I don't mind doing household equally as long as she also has a job, but if she doesn't do sh*t then its just a matter of logic. I was raised in a family where my dad worked and my mom took care of me and did the household, but my mom was also working in the beginning of their marriage, so my dad was aiming to make more money so that she doesn't HAVE to. Today it should also be about aiming to do best for your partner, but its a totally different game that is much harder to play..

I live in the west, and I think as Africans we have to be very careful, not everything west is good. This so called 50|50 relationship is the same reason why they have over 50% divorce rate in the west. A man must be a man, head of the house, protector, provider but that does not mean he must belittle/ disrespect his wife, he must rest respect her and she must respect him, it is this respect that people confuse. Some so called modern women are happy to be house wives, some want to work, it’s all about respect. A woman must make a man feel like a man and vice versa. The reason why European women are the way they are today that’s because for too long their men mistreated them, that’s not the case in africa, we have always respected our women, that’s why no other continent has had more queens in its history than Africa.

I think he made his point as simple as possible, no one shoe size fits all, you don't have to agree with what he said and you don't have to be with a European or a modern-day woman, just find what works for you, just be with an African woman, but if you would like to be with modern-day woman, that's the idea you have to be flexible with, simple!!! and frankly, there's absolutely nothing wrong in everything he said, there's nothing wrong with helping and assisting your "wife"!!!!!!!!

Kwame is there some things that these modern women still requires us to do as men? Say you suspect a break in at your house at night, can you stay back and ask your modern women to go and check since it is 50/50 or you the man have to go and check regardless? Since some modern turns to express or show male masculinity towards their husbands (whatever you can do I can equally do). Say we are out and about and some guy grabs her back do I need to react and fight the guy or just walk away and let her do equal as I do? All that I want to know is, in this feminists modern relationships do women truly wants everything done equally or are they things that they the modern woman still see as a man responsibility?

Since we're being very direct on the gender roles; why not get surgery to be able to carry part of the pregnancy for the 9 months too. I don't think you understood the message. I don't see how it's fair in ANY situation where for example, your wife works long hours and perhaps even earns more than you but because there's a probability that one day a thief can break into your home or mug you on the street, you should be exempted from performing BASIC HUMAN RESPONSIBILITIES like taking care of your own Child or cooking while your wife can't or is unavailable. Or that because you're a man, even though she makes more, You get to decide how the money is used while doing nothing to warrant that. In which world is that fair? If due to this need for EQUITY; you won't protect your partner in a situation where you're more capable of doing it because she wants you to also be human to your kids and serve them as well, then don't do it. Let her get beaten up and see where it lands you. Lol

The issue here is one isn't ahead of the other in the partnership in anyway because they have certain advantageous physical traits. EQUITY here is everyone contributing what they're capable to move the group forward. If you and your wife are a team, you're only strong when you work together. That's all it is
