I feel like New York is a different beast, bc it’s pretty easy to meet people without apps in smaller college towns. I prefer to date mutual friends, but my current boyfriend of a year was actually my coworker at the campus gym. I would definitely have values, but go into things with NO expectations bc then it’s harder to be disappointed when you aren’t expecting a fairytale or rom com
