@@kenshilohhello Ken God bless 🙏 I've been listening to more of his videos since and also to few others, and I think one's connection to God has a lot to do with the purity of one's heart and spirit and his mind also. David Wilkerson was one of the most pure, he didn't do a lot of miracles though, I remember when his son healed him by faith. There is one thing I don't understand, there are people who are connected to God's power of healing for example, or the power of casting out demons, or prophecy etc but their minds and hearts are not as pure as they should be. So it can be tricky sometimes to understand who these people truly are in truth/spirit, because they don't have to be evil to not be (found) good, if you know what I mean. I'm not talking about David's son, I'm talking about people performing different miracles, and prophecy etc in God's name thes days. I think no one sees God exactly the same way, most see God thru their wants needs accomplishments life situations family etc, and all people I talked or listened to so far, every single person thinks God is the one they know or formed an idea about based on personal experience bible teachings and other peoples experiences. But God is everything. Thank you again and may God bless you and your family and keep you always. 🙏🙏🔥🔥

When he grew older he grew much more gentle and mellow and tenderhearted. You could describe him as "broken bread and poured out wine" at that time. I enjoyed him possibly more so in his later years but still listen online to his earlier fiery sermons. Although I didn't always agree with his theology, I had great respect for him as a man of God. He was the real deal and one of a kind. By the way, he did miss it on some of his prophecies which did not come to pass on the dates he was predicting. The same Holy Spirit who healed, prophesied, and spoke through men in the beginning, is the same Holy Spirit ruling and reigning in the hearts of genuine believers today! The gifts of the spirit are given to believers ALL! And is for ALL time! Some shall prophesy, speak in tongues, interpret tongues, teach, preach, and heal as it were in the early church! There’s no new spirit, it’s one baptism! It’s not that the Holy Spirit ceased in using men in these ways, it’s just that the church has a form of godliness but no power because it has compromised with the world, to appease the world, whereas Peter said “we ought to obey God, rather than man” churches won’t speak truth because it offends the sinner! The spirit will not dwell where there is compromise and worldliness! Laodeciea which literally means “ruled by the ppl” is outside of the real church of Jesus Christ, “Behold I stand at the door and knock” God is not present in the majority of these modern day ministries because they have another gospel!! They preached a prosperity gospel, which is no gospel at all, “you say u are rich” but Jesus makes it clear they are poor, destitute of his spirit! If the church repents at the Lords rebuke, and get back to biblical Christianity, we would see the manifestation of the Holy Spirit once again! If u don’t believe that the same spirit that moved upon the apostles still indwells the ppl of God, then by what spirit are demons cast out, the sick healed, prophecies declared, and the likes?? There is only 1 other spirit at work in the world and that’s the spirit of Antichrist! Be careful not to attribute the works of the Holy Spirit with an evil, and antichrist spirit since this is blasphemy, and Jesus said has not atonement, not in this life, nor the one to come! The Holy Spirit would only lead u into truth, and the truth is the spirit of God did not take a vacation from the church today, he’s with us until the end of the world! There are NO denominations, Christ is not divided nor are their any denominations in ur Bible, and that’s just because these are manmade traditions! There are no Pentecostal, Methodist, church of God, or Baptist sections in heaven! Seek the Lord on this in prayer. Love in Christ 🤍

@@watchwoman4christ379 The statement that you made, "It’s not that the Holy Spirit ceased in using men in these ways, it’s just that the church has a form of godliness but no power" is EXACTLY why we don't see the movement of the Holy Spirit as churches of older times did. Today all we have, for the majority of congregations are "pastors" that are so concerned about membership rolls and their bottom lines that they have completely lost sight of the task they are supposed to be doing, spreading the real Gospel of the Message. You rarely, if ever, hear of anyone that steps up to that sacred desk and delivers a fire and brimstone sermon. Sadly, people don't like that kind of preaching but will flock by the thousands to hear an ear tickling diatribe from people like Joel Osteen and his like.

I would hear some of David Wilkerson sermons and feel like I wasn't saved and then I'd hear another sermon and feel like I was saved and same with Carter conlin... To me it was like preaching with a forked tongue... For 13 years I was under confusion, feeling condemned one day and saved the next..... It was one of the most awful things I've ever been through... I'm only just coming out of it so I still deal with it a bit.... But I am deeply happy to hear that he was finally able to receive the grace of God... That's absolutely wonderful, praise God..... Thank you for doing this, I'm a new subscriber

Such an interesting and inspiring account of Brother Wilkerson's life and ministry. Through his books and sermons, he's been a major influence in my spiritual life since my early days as a born again Christian in Brazil. 🇧🇷

I have listened to David Wilkerson sermons every day since 2011, the man talked about his struggles and his faith in God, he was a man of God and that’s the way all of heaven will remember him and I can’t wait to meet him , along with all the disciples, one day in heaven. He has been my pastor and mentor me for over 20 years. The man truly loved the Lord. He even turned down being on TBN because he did not want the celebrity of it all . We are all witnesses that will stand before God one day to testify to David Wilkerson’s ministry.. In any falls that he had the blood of Jesus covered them just like it covers ours. He was not perfect just like none of us are that he had a heart for God and he had a heart for people and people of the dangers of turning away from God .

Rod this was absolutely wonderful! I've been watching David Wilkerson for years and use to say, this man truly is set apart! Praise God. You are a fantastic storyteller, in fact, I was yearning for more when it was over. Well done and adding David in at the end was such a great honor to a man who was genuinely after God's heart! God bless you brother 🙏

I listened to The Vision audio book many times. He did not say All his visions would occur in his lifetime. Instead he said “many” or something similar. Therefore his visions did not fail. One vision he explained was indicative to Christ’s return, that particular statement seemed profound to me.

Used to listen to so much Paul washer Leonard Ravenhill and David Wilkinson and many many audio sermons of aw tozer. But I do believe Wilkinson Mr missed out on much of the refreshing outpouring of the holy spirit in the outpouring of the Brownsville and Toronto revivle. For many many years I rejected both of those both of those moves of God myself because I was so caught up in Paul washer and John Macarthur. But eventually repented and tapped into the glorious residue of those outpourings

IsobelFranklin-x6j, I have been to the Pensacola Outpouring several times and I can tell you, from what I heard and saw, David Wilkerson would have run out of that mess like his pants were on fire! If Toronto was anything like Brownsville, I feel sorry for them, too. Yes, there were those that were genuinely saved at both events but my impression was that they were all show and very little go. When the leadership of Brownsville left they saddled the church with over $11 million dollars of unpaid debt. I don't believe a real man of God would have done that. Steve Hill had already left, not being a member of the church staff and then the rest just cut and ran, leaving a devastated church in their wake.

David Wilkerson totally understood Ezekiel 33. He obeyed and sounded the alarm. Many prophecies in his book "The Vision" have completely fulfilled with more yet being fulfilled. NO DEBATE. 'CHOOSE YE THIS DAY WHOM YE SHALL SERVE' (JIMMY B.) 🔥

I'm a pentecostal from european heritage (Dutch pentecostal) particularly in my church we staunchly hold the prrinciple of faith for 'divine HEALTH and holiness teaching so in the matter of faith we are certainly inline with Kenneth E Hagin ( i personally see him as a pentecostal since for me word of faith is not a theology in itself but a biblical principal still under the umbrella of pentecostal theology where some pentecostals like my church giving it more emphasis while some others dont) and in the matter of holiness my church kind of inline with David Wilkerson's view.

Word Faith is an offshoot of the Charismatic movement, which is an offshoot of the Pentecostal movement. You are right, although many traditional Pentecostal churches wouldn't support the extremes of Word Faith theology. D.R. McConnell was correct when he said that the charismatic movement isn't monolithic
@geertjekneefel5252 Жыл бұрын
@@kevinevans8892 the Dutch founder of my pentecostal denomination had acquaintance with Smith Wigglesworth who taught faith like the late Kenneth E Hagin , how could such an icon of pentecostal movement as Wigglesworth be considered 'extreme' ? Speaking about Hagin concerning his teaching on material blessings as i read his book the ' Midas Touch' , i find no 'extreme' not like those 'extreme' hyper-prosperity guys.. to say Word of Faith as 'extreme' is just like painting the same broad brush to Reformed people definingn them indiscriminately as faultfinding pharisees .
@kevinevans8892 Жыл бұрын
@@geertjekneefel5252i'm Charismatic FYI. Hagin's Midas Touch was too little; too late. Those extremists within the WOF were really his spiritual offshoots who took his theology to it's logical conclusion. I consider Smith wigglesworth to be well within the classical Pentecostal movement. He was not word Faith. Wigglesworth died in the 1940s -- years before the advent of the WOF movement came along. Hagin might have been inspired by wigglesworth, regarding faith for healing. But that might be all the contribution wigglesworth indirectly gave to the WOF movement. Furthermore, many classical Pentecostals do not endorse WOF theology, such as the Assemblies of God denomination; the late Charles Farah from ORU (a Pentecostal university), to list a few. So are these Pentecostals Pharisees too? The WOF movement does not hold a monopoly on the Holy Spirit sir/madame
@geertjekneefel5252 Жыл бұрын
@@kevinevans8892 sorry but do u read my assertion carefully ? I've said accusing ALL wof as extreme is just the same as stating ALL reformed as faultfinding pharisees . Let me again put it clearer in another word : TO SAY ALL WOF AS EXTREME IS JUST THE SAME AS SAYING ALL AMERICANS AS GUNHOLDER TEXANS ! Do u honestly interpret that the meaning of my previous explanation as accusing ALL reformed to be faultfinding pharisees ? Have u ever heard the saying dont throw the baby along with the bathwater ? I know a fact about the 'great rebuke' around year 2000's behind the story before Midas Touch being published where Kenneth E Hagin gathered almost all of those 'hyper-prosperity' preachers and rebuked them for their 'extremes' , if most of them have chosen to dismiss the rebuke of their spiritual father then it would be the matter between them and God . FYI i like Charles Farah and his protege is Paul L King Phd a Charismatic-Christian Alliance theologian and after a deep theological study Paul King published a book about WOF theology with the title ONLY BELIEVE where it objectively and 'constructively' separates the pure teachings and the errors within the WOF. I recommend u to read it . Personally i dont like to call WOF as 'theology' , it's just a simple plain biblical principle , maybe because it's just my old school pentecostal taste speaking but again to call it as some sort of 'theology' make it sounds 'sophisticated and dogmatic' it makes as if one graduates from Rhema Bible College or ORU then automatically he/she can do miracles , it makes impression as if u dogmatically and intellectually embrace WOF theology u would automatically living in miraculous realm . True word of faith is dynamic personal interaction between us with the Holy Spirit & The Word , in fact i got this conclusion from reading Hagin's book ' How To Be Lead By The Holy Spirit ' , i recommend u also this book to read. By the way since u admit that u yourself are NOT pentecostal not to mention 'old school' pentecostal i truly understand why u dont understand how old school pentecostals see ''theology' , we the old schoolers unlike the moderrn pentecostals dont 'systematize' our biblical principle into 'systematize theology' even there's a time in the past when we thought theology was just term for humaniistic wisdom that limitates the Holy Spirit , so again the most of PRINCIPLES in WOF are undoubtedly historically still within the scope of pentecostal principles , and another correction for u i've never said WOF principle MONOPOLIZE pentecostal understanding .. logically speaking there's a different between WITHIN THE SCOPE and MONOPOLIZE , surely intellectually speaking i expect u to understand that to say Coptics Orthodox are WITHIN THE SCOPE of ecumenical christianity wont be the same as saying that Coptics MONOPOLIZE the majority understanding of whole christianity. I'm denominationally not AOG or COG pentecostals but certainly NOT Oneness in theology , usually american old school pentecostals being classified around those threes . I'm just an old school 'divine health believing' - holiness living and tongue speaking pentecostal .
