The coaster is just FUN. The queue is fantastic, the music is a great addition, and the coaster is the smoothest coaster I have ever ridden. The coaster feels like you are gliding the entire time. Although it is a long coaster, I didn't want it to end.

Agree front is less intense with regard to motion sickness. Ok for my 12 yr old, not my 6. I would say significantly more intense than space mountain. Because of the turning and weightless. I love your videos! They are helping me so much plan my future trip to Disney! And I find them entertaining! I would like to make one suggestion. When reviewing rides, if you could include information about the seat/harness and how people of size may feel in the ride, that would be so helpful. I know Disney World used to be one of the BEST parks for people of size, but with some of these new rides, the seats and harnesses are smaller and smaller. Knowing this information ahead of time will relieve some anxiety. I had an experience of having to get off of a ride because my partner and I did not fit on it together. It was humiliating :( Disney did help us out, but the knowledge will help us not have to go through that at all. THANK YOU in advance!

Relevant to Soarin', I know Kronk (real life Kronk) will lead you on a flight, but the seatbelt DOES get snug, so always ask a cast member. Cosmic rewind, for safety reasons, has a center divide (remember when you would ride teacups, and youd squish the outside guy? Well no more!) so it keeps you securely center inter the pull down bar. (I recommend visiting a restroom at 55 minutes to queue time) other rides are boaty, and calm, so you could even lie down if you wanted to. Anyhow, hope this wasnt too late! Have fun!

It looks very neat. I am very glad to see another thrill ride, particularly one that isn't overly dependent on simulated movement and relies purely on screens. I am still not a fan of it's location. Even with a weak tie-in/justification for it's placement in Epcot, I am certain that a GotG ride belongs somewhere else. Honestly, the only Marvel character I really see fitting into Epcot is Tony Stark and Stark Technologies, which would have slid in nicely with "Future World". Still excited for the ride, but this doesn't alleviate my concerns about recent Disney direction on park theming (which is to say they are getting weak or outright abandoning central theming).

I can certainly appreciate all the "coolness" of this ride, but in my personal opinion, this attraction doesn't belong at Epcot. Epcot, back in the day, was an educational theme park. Guardians of the Galaxy replaced "Universe of Energy." "Universe or Energy" fit the Epcot theme perfectly along with "Wonders of Life," (no longer there) "Spaceship Earth," "World of Motion," (now Test Track) "Living Seas," "Horizons" (replaced with Mission Space) and "Living with the Land." Why not just upgrade "World of Energy?" So, what is Epcot now? What's its identity? Is Epcot turning into a "glorified" Six Flags, or is it truly the "Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow?" I know Disney well...I worked there in Information Technology. Anyway, have fun with the Guardians of the Galaxy...it looks like fun! And, again, this is just my opinion...I would love to get your input. Do you agree that Epcot is going in the right direction?

To compare…. AJ do you get nauseated on Space Mountain? I know you said this ride is more thrilling than Space Mountain, but knowing if you get motion sickness on Space Mountain or not, will help.

I get motion sick in a car, watching some movie scenes, on Space Mountain and Soarin' Oddly as wild as this coaster was, I did not get motion sick 🤷♀️

Guardians of the galaxy has now become my favorite movie because of this incredible ride.

She isn’t kidding about virtual queues filling quickly. Before Webslingers in DCA went to stand by lines we were going on a random Sunday but we knew that we weren’t going until the afternoon and most of the time I would get early spots (like 100 or less). I decided to wait 10 seconds after 7 am to refresh my screen and all the spots were gone for the day. You have to start at 7 am because 10 seconds makes a difference. 10 seconds y’all!!!!

My curiousity and being a huge fan of the movie made me have to ride this, but as someone who suffers from occasional vertigo and high blood pressure it was not for me and was a mistake. I was very dizzy and had dry heaves for about 30 mins afterwards!

What I think is odd, is I felt this ride was more intense because of all the spinning than the Aerosmith ride.

What ointment did they find, or what did they sell Drax on, when it came time to bribe into the shirt? He HATES shirts. Something I noted... Does he find some AC spots chilly too?

The truth about guardians is that IT SLAPS. That’s the whole truth. Just go on it, you won’t be disappointed.

So bummed out that because I’m going to animal then park hopping to Epcot there is no way to buy an individual lightning lane for this. I would literally wait hours for this in standby or single rider.

AJ, you mentioned booking your virtual queue before your trip. Is that actually possible? If so, how far out can I book it, and how do I do that?
@kyroravestar2622 жыл бұрын
An app called "My Disney Experience" and it can outline and even navigate your ticket purchases (I recommend only purchasing the genie + feature if you intend on going to MK) And if you book a hotel that is sponsored, or outletted through Disney, the guests have a special Wifi tag that gives them earlier access. So the 7AM Queue for example, opens at 6:30 for folks in the actual Disney resort hotels. Hope this helps!

Here’s the thing, and I’m sure I’m in the minority here, but I wish everything wasn’t an IP tie-in. I’ve never seen GOTG and have no interest in doing so, so while the coaster looks fun it’s yet another ride with a story/jokes that I probably won’t understand. That makes it less interesting to me. Can’t rides be original anymore? I suppose the answer to that is no, no they can’t.

I wouldn’t mind if it was at Hollywood studios, but I think it has no business being at EPCOT.

@@annajodignan5550 But it’s not actual space…I work for astrophysicists and if it was exploring actual exoplanets that would be really cool, but it’s a completely fictional movie location. That’s why I think it belongs at Hollywood Studios. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to ride it, I just think it would fit better with the theming at the other park.

I am going to Epcot on May 27th, and I have already purchased Genie+. Does this mean, at 7am when I try to get in the virtual que, I’m missing out on my next ride for Genie+? Because then I will have been spending some seconds on getting in the virtual que, I will have later times for the rides on Genie+.

Will it be possible to walk through JUST the pre-show and NOT get on the ride itself? I suppose I could ask a cast member about this?

Yes, you can leave the line at the end usually on every other ride dont see why this would be different
