I was in El Salvador last year. I am from Germany, my gf from Colombia. Both speaking spanish. We dived deep in and had a lot of talks as I wanted to know where the country stood back then. Certainly people did not yet realize what Bitcoin brings them. Adoption rate was maybe 10-15% I spoke with a lot of people and told them that if they love Bukele or want to help themselves, to start taking Bitcoin from tourists. I think they got it that this would bring wealth into their own country. I will go back 2026, I loved the freshening happiness of the people who suffered for more than a generation.

Bukele governs utilizing all the powers that the Constitution bestows on him. That's not a dictatorship, it's a constitutional Republic with checks and balances. Most people use the term "Democracy" without understanding what a true Democracy is. Britain claims to be a Democracy, but there is more tyranny being used against the citizens than in most countries in Latin America. We should ditch the term "Democracy" to describe governments and societies. All countries are supposed to govern according to their constitution and all the constitutions in the world aim for freedoms and a democratic system to choose its leaders -- El Salvador's Constitution is less liberal than the US Constitution. Still, Salvadorans enjoy all the freedoms that their Constitution guarantees to them. !Bukele is NOT and does NOT govern as a dictator. The press and the citizenry are freer there than in any other country in the region. No one gets jailed for criticizing or protesting against the government. The Biden Administration has been the most tyrannical government in recent history and persecuted citizens for disagreeing with its policies.

A country at the third world level, I would say, is more like Cuba, Nicaragua, Haiti, etc. In El Salvador, there are many rich people, upper and middle class people. The country is more of an emerging economy with good infrastructure, shopping centers, lots of food in supermarkets and markets, technology and a LOT of security... insecurity is what classifies a country as third world

Just one thing you need to know mate: Although El Salvador it's become pretty safe, don't expect the country to be well developed in infrastructure, tourism, employment, etc.... all what you saw it's been done within the last 3 years. Before 2021 Nayib Bukele had no mandate due to a CORRUPTED CONGRESS that did not want him as President but us, Salvadoreans gave Bukele 100% mandate through a brand new Congress in his favour since 2021 so he can introduce new laws to protect the lives of Salvadoreans, run and develop the country you saw during your visit to El Salvador. We are 50 years behind due to Civil War and Terrorism. El Salvador has only reborn 3 years ago, there's a lot to be done so hopefully, if you ever come back mate, to our country, El Salvador will be more in line with developed countries like where you come from. Rome wasn't built in three days and we're working on that, thanks mate for visiting our country.

Democracy means the people's power, literally. And if over 90% of the people support what Bukele is doing then it has WAY more democracy than most countries. The U.S is not a democracy it is a Republic, and Canada I don't know what their political status is, but judging from what many expats all over the world say it is not a democracy in a literal sense, at least not anymore.

Also, crime is extremely, very low. we are a nation against abortion, we are pro-life. and only 80% Christians 🇳🇮✝️and very few atheists and agnostics. don't believe the international news paid for by George Soros and international ethyls. that's why we call Bukele the coolest dictator.

I have duo citizenship to Canada and El Salvador and let me tell you that when it comes to democracy, there is no competition. El Salvador wins. North Americans are very hung up on labels and branding President Bukele a “dictator” was probably the silliest latest one so far, but you repeating it when you were here yourself to see the peace and harmony we live in is just plain dumb. I wish you success in the future but you just lost a follower.
