My first time hearing him was from a compilation cd featuring him and buju on "complaint" buju refers to him as arch angel and that's exactly what i felt from his voice. I would tell everybody that i played his music for that his voice reminded me of an angel. So although i was shocked and upset to learn of his passing, i kinda understood, he was missed in heaven. I wish i could have been there for the party upon his return.

I was in Portland when I heard the report over Irie FM that the Legend had passed, the initial story didn't seem to add up, probably more to it. I was lucky to see Garnett live in Ochi once and at Folly great house in Port Antonio. Still run his tune regularly.

The song, "love is the answer" actually got me to research about Garnet Silk. I was 4 years when he died. My mom always tell me the story about his death. I believe he was murdered. Jamaica has lost an icon next to Bob Marley. If every gun man in Jamaica should sit back and take a good listen to Garrnet Silk's love is the answer song, I belive it will get them to relefect on their actions.
