And you forgot the reason for the so called "occupation". In 1948 the UN suggested that Israel was to be divided between Jews and Arabs, so that the Arabs would have the majority of the land. The Jewish government agreed, the Arabs didn't - instead the rioted and started massacres and pogroms. Unfortunately for them, they lost. Since then the Israeli government offered peace at several occasions - all of these were responded with violence - Intifada, suicide bombings and rockets.
