Hi, Leia. Through Job Corps you can gain experience and hands-on training in many health care career areas. A local admissions representative will be able to discuss these options in the health care pathway, such as nurse assistant, licensed practical/vocational nurse and others, and how they can lead to a path that includes anesthesiology. To find out more about the program, please visit jobcorps.gov or call (800) 733-JOBS [5627].

Thanks for your interest in re-enrolling in Job Corps! You can come back and re-enroll at JC if you meet a few requirements. We just require that all re-enrolling students meet the general admissions requirements, haven't been readmitted before (unless for medical reasons), have no more than 18 months of previous paid JC training, have been out of JC a minimum of 1 year, and are in good standing with behavior! If you have any questions or need assistance with re-enrollment, visit bit.ly/3nf9PL2 or call (800) 733-JOBS [5627] to speak with an admissions counselor.

To explore all your options, you can visit your local American Job Center (find the nearest center to you by visiting www.careeronestop.org) or go to www.dol.gov/apprenticeship/ for information about apprenticeship programs.

If you don’t want to take Academic classes do you have to
@DOLJobCorps4 жыл бұрын
Hi! As part of Job Corps’ hands-on career training, students do spend time in classroom, particularly for orientation and the career preparation period for new students. Depending on test scores, you may be able to place out of certain classes or spend less time in the academic period. Like Job Corps’ hands-on training, the program is self-paced and you will be able to progress at your own speed. If you have any other questions, please reach out to a Job Corps representative by calling 800-733-5627.

Hi, Alexis. We love your eagerness to learn! You can explore multiple training areas as long as they’re within the same industry. For example, you could pursue Computer Technician and Network Cabling because both are within the Information Technology industry. But, you wouldn’t be able to pursue Culinary Arts and Carpentry (at the same time) because they are in different industries. It’s a little complicated, but your admissions counselor can help if you have further questions. If you don’t have their number, you can connect with an admissions counselor near you by visiting bit.ly/2LvMjHt or calling (800) 733-JOBS [5627].
