I love the Mustang! I think it be cool to see if you could get in contact with the original builder and get the story of the build and maybe pick their brain on what they would do with it if they had a second go round. As much as I originally wanted to see you cut the wing down, pinch the fenders in and change up the exhaust exit location I totally get and respect leaving it the way it is and bringing it back to it’s former glory. Like it or not you gotta respect the craftsmanship that’s gone into that thing. The fact that it still exists in that condition is kinda mind blowing. I’m definitely excited for this one!

I know someone has already hinted at this, but it looks like someone was trying to make a McLaren M81 Mustang. I do wish they did the door widebody flares. Oh and before someone goes crazy, the M81 kit was all steel except the hood which was fiberglass. It was a DSO kit between McLaren and Ford. That kit was made for the 1980s fox body not the 1990s, but I guess a fox body is just a fox body.

This is one of the few times I would advocate for a restoration vs a custom build. I am no purist but when a car has a good story, it's worth keeping it stock (or in this case as it was). Good call. Personally, I hate the wing but it's part of the original design and it's all fabbed in metal so yeah, keep it.

I think it'll be exciting to watch it being restored back to magazine spec! I for one approve of that choice, the car is very much of its era and should be presented that way as a time capsule of what 90s car customization looked like.

@Drok_Dagoon4 күн бұрын
You can make a past build your own while still preserving the history of the Original Builders vision. You are just reimagining the vision, not destroying a vehicle and it heritage. It documented after all, you can preserve that while bringing it to the modern standard. When it comes to being a 80's-90's Inspired American Rally Car that would just be paint, some cosmetics, wheels and tires, and maybe adding beefier suspension. You can do all that an keep the body intact like the Original Builder built it. Everything can be reverted to the original state at the end of the day, that's if you go about it the right way. Like makeup and heels don't make the woman... ya know? Those are just highlighting features of the females body. Even with out those cosmetics she can still be an amazing woman. 🤔 So Brody just do what you do best. This just a suggestion from a respectful guy on the internet. I will watch this build and your process through it either way. At the end of the day it's gonna be a sick build. Keep up the great work bud. ✌️ IMO a front mount light bar with rally lights would look 🔥! 😆

@ryanB664 күн бұрын
#chipFoose
@Atodaso-pg9kq4 күн бұрын
I’m sorry but you are completely wrong. That wasn’t his best friend, Boyd looked at Foose as a Mortal Enemy for a very long time! Chip worked for Boyd in the 90’s and he helped design many of Boyd’s big name cars but Chip left Boyd’s shop in the late 90’s and started his own shop which infuriated Boyd. He often blamed Foose for stealing his employees,trade secrets and clients. Foose ended up being Boyd’s direct competition and it ate Boyd up. Boyd definitely harbored a majority of resentment and animosity toward Foose than the other way around and they didn’t speak for years. Before Boyd passed they were said to be on speaking terms again but just that, nothing more. You can still buy Boyd Coddington Wheels the company still exists.

All metal, just like that one famous Civic, that Tavarish bought. I dig the bodykit on it, I just don't like the wing. The reason I don't like it, is the compromise for the hatch. One of my fave cars is the Daytona. It is the right height to get good downforce on a hatch, but it sits too far back, to look good.
