Moblin is currently only available for ios; however you can use android phones as relays. Tons of info, smart people, and how-to's on the Moblin Discord: discord.gg/2VMQEMw5 I highly recommend downloading the app and starting there. Forgot to mention the percentages next to my relay phones are battery percentages of each phone 😊

Ok I get why you’re so hyped on this app now. This is cool to see how it all works. So if you’re riding through a zone that has horrible T-mobile coverage let’s say, the app will automatically shift your stream to one of the other providers seamlessly? That’s pretty sick. Thanks for breaking it down for us.
@TerryB2 күн бұрын
Not exactly, my other systems had 3 bonded connections as well. All sims are connected if there’s cell service. When you have all the service providers you minimize the chance of interruptions/ low bit rate in the stream.

Appreciate you taking the time to share this information with us. One of the first videos of yours I watched was a breakdown of how you streamed when you were running a poll on the back of your bike. Anyway, I saw in a previous comment that you use IRLToolKit for your OBS and I wanted to say that I too would be interested in seeing a video in how you use that with the stream setup you just showed us. Safe travels to you and thank you for being so gracious to share your knowledge with us. Appreciate you very much! 🙏🏾

Terry, thanks for this info! I've been curious how you have yours setup. I think I'm on the verge of live streaming at this point! Can't wait to show y'all Tennessee via bike :) I am interested to see what the remote OBS control looks like from your side on Moblin. I think I would just start out just by streaming from the phone direct to twitch, but the remote OBS solution seems nice for uptime and not splitting streams when things break. Anyway, thanks again for being so open and sharing this information with the community. I really appreciate that you're not into keeping secrets like this! Cheers and thanks for stream :)

Excited to see Tennessee. I use irltoolkit.com/ for my virtual OBS. There’s cheaper options out there but I’ve been using them since 2020 and I’m happy with their service. There’s also a one button click to connect Moblin to irltoolkit which makes setup really easy. If there’s more interest I’ll go into how I setup the backend and monthly costs.

Is it worth having two phones on the same network at all - does it help to hot spot like that? Or at that point just use one until you can get multiple carriers?
@TerryBКүн бұрын
Doubling up on a carrier is great, but it’s better to have multiple carriers.

@TerryB2 күн бұрын
The yolobox was great at the time. Times have changed. Mainly with iPhone computing power and smart developers tinkering in the IRL live-streaming world. There’s a bunch of other reasons this system destroys everything other option for small irl streams, but I didn’t want to get into the weeds.

Is it better to run the hotspot from you non main phone? If I do add a second phone, is it better to have that phone for the hotspot? Why wouldn’t you have your main phone running the hotspot? I have only 50gig of hotspot before it throttles on my main iphone 14 on att, so was going to add visible to my xs max for its unlimited hotspot. So I’m just wondering other than the limit on my att hotspot before throttling, why would you not run hotspot from main device? I have trouble understanding the difference between hotspot Wi-Fi and cellular. I would definitely like to see a moblin set up from you in the future. Great video. Thanks.
@TerryBКүн бұрын
The hotspot isn’t necessarily for data. It’s to run a local network to connect the other sims and DJI camera. Androids let you connect multiple devices where iPhones are capped at 3

I said about company Globo or something from my previous work, why usually the dead line between customer for delivery, may have some of delay that measured from 1 hour -4 hours, between synchronizing phone with the rider, also phone with customer, also connection in GPS with the needed drop off destination, also should be good synchronization of map with the antenna like you said between the system, also should be good communication of the rider with the customer, also singing the contract before taking or just receiving the dinner. And communication cost money, effort time, is weird you why even if it is dead line then is just off, I speak about my own country Republic of Moldova. Why for example if it is dead line, then the customer is just lost and is fail, good communication between delivery and also with for example the rider could solve the problem. But imagine if you have multiple clients, then what will happen with all your customers that have dead line, is better to not accept them, even if it will be the last in the list. Is kind of weird. And if you will include system CRM in the list with GPS, they usually calculate how much time you spent, how much clients were served. Not only. Is just reminding another simple example from childhood my father said to me one basic sentence if you will grab with you baggage that should be returned to the customer, then you have to do it in this way like if you walk per I don't 5 meters = price of how much $, but father said that the movement cost money calculated per road. :(( Maybe they the same calculate something like how much you have eaten, to check the energy stamina or something like this. Sorry.
