Legend Of Winning Moses Malone didn't get criticized cause Houston didn't want to match his contract Genius. Meaning him getting more money to play for a better team is overall good for him and true capitalism. Especially if his team unappreciated him. Which in the Thunders case they didn't unappreciat KD and was going to pay KD even more money than the GSW, to then play alongside another superstar in Westbrook. So just cause that Sixers Team swept your only can win when it's a super team Lakers, that don't make them the worse form suppose Superteam ever Fangirl.

Legend Of Winning do everyone a favor and stop trying to make LeBron an durrant "normal". it's fine if they are willing to admit hey I can't get it done just don't compare yourself to the greats (Jordan bird magic) and don't get butt hurt when people point it out.

Daniel Clark dude get off of Jordan, Bird and Magic great big Balls you Balls Boy. The fact is LeBron greater than every last one of them, cause LeBron done more with garbage and a total incompetent organization than all 3 of those players did combine. If LeBron came within the league to play on a team with the greatest Big Man within the league at the time (like Kobe & Magic) or greatest all time scorer ever (like Magic) or he came within the league to play with the second greatest Power forward ever in McHale and greatest organization in the NBA (like Bird) than LeBron would have 8 championship right now. Also stop penalizing LeBron, cause he never got hurt in his early career for his garbage organization to try and draft LeBron his Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant, to then help him win championships or at least start to win 40 games or more within the NBA, like within Jordan case.

^THIS ^ the other elephant in the room that goes largely unmentioned is Free Agency and how agencies have skewed the market more and more over the last 3 decades. This video glosses over all that. Instead it's fixated on "the most egregious" examples/anomolies occuring way back when, in the dawn of FA. In truth, a potential superteam pops up every 3-5 years in the league, but it's the DEGREE to which the current Warriors squad is distorting parity in the league that is unprecedented and in a sense, out of control. So now we have the current, extreme situation that all the non-Dubs fans and team owners will get to "enjoy" throughout next season, while Vegas says 'wake me up in a few years'.

You know what, you're right LOW. There have been examples of this in the past thag people don't talk about, hell I didn't even know to be honest, especially the Earl Monroe one. But I just don't think it's the same still. Trust me you made me understand and respect what KD did more, but KD was one of the biggest differences between GSW winning it or losing it. In the eyes of many OKC, would have had a great shot of beating GSW if he never left. Earl wasn't a top 5 player in the league, he wasn't even on the all nba teams. Moses, you right about that, but Moses BARELY made the playoffs in the west, and he wasn't the difference between Philly winning or losing it all. So it's like LeBron's case where the team he had and the franchise he had simply just wasn't enough to win a championship, so he left to make a superteam, except Moses joined a already established one. But again, I am nitpicking, I just don't like how much KD shifted the balance in the league. At least back then, there were the Celtics and the Lakers still, hell even the Bucks alongside Philly. This year it was supposed to be the Clips, OKC, GSW, Cleveland and the Spurs. With what KD did, it's basically just GSW and Cleveland rn, the Spurs are the best option outside, but they have trouble against young teams.

What's up BSOLZ. I get what you're saying and I agree with most of it, but I don't think you got the point of this video. What KD did is still the weakest move in NBA history by far, this video did not dispute that. The point is that there have been multiple situations in the league where super teams were created, including the pre-2000s eras. It's the fact that these ex-players are so goddamn hypocritical about it because they're only criticizing this generation of players for doing it. They're acting like it never happened before and this era doesn't want to "compete" anymore, completely sliding what previous superstars have done in the past under the rug. That's the point, the point isn't who did it the worst.

yea i felt that way too, as if despite the similarities its just not the same. like the warriors were already one of the most dominant teams in history with their best players in their prime and despite of how overpowering they seemed him and westbrook had them on the ropes but just couldn't finish the job. but instead of working to get thru them he jist teamed up with them. as far as im concerned that move was the most weak, uncompetitive, hypocritical ever. and lebrons wasnt that bad but i think what made it worse was the fact that he left his hometown. the love him now because he redeemed himself in an inconceivable way. durant probably wont be the same unless he returns and wins a ring for okc but with all the feuding and this rivalry the media cause i doubt he'll want to return but u never kno.

Kd joined a 73-9 team that elimated him in the wcf, and he left his "little brother" that "apparently" he loved very much without a single call, and yes they were fucking finals contestants they were up 3-1 and they fucking lost (okc) al horford was going to come to okc but kd wouldn't guarantee his stay, and I know more players would want to come. Lebron joined his god dam friends HIS FRIENDS not the celtics.

The reason of why people claim that before wasn't like this, is because jordan said he would never team up with Magic or Bird, he wanted to beat them. But you just can't take Michael Jordan's mentality as a general rule for everyone on the league. Even Shaq said that if possible, he would have played with Jordan...

Great video. Don't agree with everything you said but informative none the less. I think you forget to point out the role social media has on the way we receive our news. You don't know how people felt back in the 70s and 80s because there was no twitter or Facebook for people to voice their emotional opinions instantly for everyone to see. Finals was actually aired on a taped delay so I can't imagine the NBA was stealing all the headlines. I find it hard to believe that fans - which was a small fan base that is not as global as it is today, did not share the same feelings back then compared to today. I think you don't hear about Monroe and Malone because in general, they didn't have as big an impact as you make them out to be. That's why all we hear is Lakers, Celtics, Pistons, and Bulls. Great video as always. Keep them coming.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. I been telling people forever, players do this when they have the opportunity. If I'm Kevin Durant and I have the opportunity to go play with better, more efficient players (Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green), I'm leaving. And in a better city? Sign ME UP! It's the same thing if you were working a regular job. If I can go work at Google with better, cooler people and don't have to bust my ass as much, I'm leaving. That simple. Kevin Durant didn't take the easier route, he took the smarter route. Give that man a pat on the back for pursuing success and personal happiness instead of overly criticizing him!

Historically, in baseball as well as basketball, 32 is usually the point in which a player's skills begin to drastically decline. Of course, there are always exceptions, especially for some of the all-time greats if they put the work in for it, but the data is very consistent. When you see a 34 year old Lebron do what he does, you should be aware that you are seeing something exceptional.

Because they werent a superteam before KD. A lot of these teams fail because they cant find the right chemistry between the stars. But Steph, Klay, Draymond, and Iggy were a team that were playing together for 4 years up till that point. So they really just had to figure out how to add KD into the equation. Much smarter than going from 0-100.

They torched him when he left and loved him when he came back because they're not real fans. Just like these people bitching about Durant moving instead of just getting over it and watching the games. Two years, four years, or even 8 years down the line, they'll forget about it. They're basically like drones just following hype. That's why you can't take most of when people say seriously. They don't know how to think for themselves. Just like if a celebrity like Jordan says "smoking cigarettes is good" you'll see all them fanboys smoking. Yet, if an autopsy comes out with footage of him sleeping with another man, those same fanboys won't consider Jordan the G.O.A.T anymore. They're all drones.

This is a great vid. The only question I have is. Did any of those teams end up having 4 all NBA players in their primes? I would bet GS ends up with 4 all NBA players in their primes. In the end I am more for players forcing moves as because when the owners trade or cut a player it is usually called a business move. Few organizations have loyalty for players.

Johann Rolle The point of the video wasn't about if either of those teams had 4 allstars, the point was to show Star players from back in the day made similar moves but players like Webber , Shaq , Barkley and Miller claim that they didn't do this and none of the players before them did it either which is false.

The truth of the matter is that the NBA implemented a salary cap in 1984-1985 which prevented teams from paying a huge amount to players. In that era, endorsements were limited and players wanted to get paid. As time advanced and social media evolved, the salary that players earn doesn't matter so much because players often times make more money in endorsements. So, players are more willing to accept a lower salary because they will make it up in other ways. Over the past 15 years, the NBA has also allowed lapses in how it enforces the salary cap so now super teams can be formed more easily. If it weren't for the salary cap, more super teams would have been created and the big markets would have dominated even more.

I don't think that anyone should be criticized for wanting to win. However, Leflop fans are the worse. LeBron leaves to and makes s super team his fans say well.... He had no help. Do you blame him? Durant does it Leflop Fans lose there minds. But he knew he wasn't going to win on the thunder. So he goes tons team that gave him a chance. Also.... The warriors aside from Durant were built from the draft. Also... Durant outplayed LeBron during both those finals. It's not like he stole a championship. He earned it. LeBron left and then built a super team. He does that every where he plays. He's a bitch. He did that and still got out played by Jason Terry who came off the bench and choked in the finals

The difference between LeBron and Moses Malone and why LeBron is being criticized for creating Super Teams is because he is always in the discussion on who is the GOAT. The second reason is that I believe that some of the NBA fans today might not even know who Moses Malones was or maybe heard of his name but never knew how good a player he was. The third reason is that LeBron did it three times (First with the Heat, second with the Cavs, and third with the Lakers). Lastly, basketball fans knew that Super Teams have been created before but the issue with LeBron is being compared to Jordan who never left the Bulls to join a Super Team just to win a championship even if he was being punished by the Pistons. As with the Earl Monroe video, your own team is not respecting you by not paying you enough, you have the right to request for a trade. He mentioned teams and not players. If he was traded to one of those teams then that means an all-star caliber player from that team would be traded for him, meaning the line-up of those teams would have some major changes. So it's not the same with LeBron where he colluded with Wade and Bosh to form a Super Team in Miami. That's what Shaq and Barkley were actually trying to say. I liked your videos but the video seemed like you were defending LeBron's moves instead of just citing examples of Super Teams.

The problem with the guys that were commenting from the NBA is that most of them had a employee mindset vs a owners/entrepreneur mindset. These new players are starting to open their minds to taking their future in their hands. They realize from more awareness that the league is a business and you can act like it or you can be dominated by it as an employee.

on that open court show, reggie is the one who can talk. he was the star of his team and stayed with his team through thick and thin. he never copped out. fact is, its still copping out regardless of who did it and when. barkley to phoenix and then to houston was a cop out, lebron to miami, and even going back to cleveland (cos wade's knees were done and he knew cavs were getting love) was a cop out, durant to warriors and brooklyn and now phoenix was a cop out. moses malone too , cop out...none of those dudes wanted to compete, they wanted to stack the deck and win. the fact people had done it before doesn't make it less of a cop out. reggie may not be skillful like that, but i respect his career, and the fact he didn't go about ring chasing. did it the right way and with honor

People would probably hate on the 76ers or 1972 Lakers or Knicks if those old super teams turned into a dynasty with multiple titles. these old teams only won 1 title each. Golden State, Miami reminds you year after year that they’re a super team and it seems like the GS, Houston, OKC super teams are the wave of the future.

There were two super teams with the Celtics, and the Lakers with the eventual Thunder and Spurs behind. So the argument is still Lebron went to the Heat to combat those teams. So there should be zero problems in Lebrons move since you put it like that

No disrespect to these all time greats but nobody's comparing Lebron to Dr J and Moses Malone. LeBron James only gets bashed for forming a "super team" as a way of discounting his case as the GOAT. I personally don't think that's a viable argument as the only reason he hadn't won yet when he went to Miami was because he'd been so good without much help.

If KZbin actually starts putting ads on non-monetized videos by creators who never asked for them, that just goes to show how greedy this corporation can be. This thought is disgusting. KZbin is essentially making free money off small channels and not paying them a single penny. Yes, these are small channels, but since there's so many of them, KZbin will still make a huge profit off of this new policy. I don't care if KZbin hates us now, it must be said by someone. I urge to our subscribers that we spread the message to all creators, and urge KZbin to immediately repeal this new policy. - Father

LOL. The difference that you completely miss is that the few examples you could list prior to the recent past had one player leaving their team to join another team. Today, groups of players on several teams hang out during the offseason and decide where they want to play and pass themselves around like hot cakes. If you’re the man on a really good team, you stay and battle. Leaving for the best opposing team in the league to chase rings is WEAK and has been weak no matter the era it happened in. Quit excusing these weak sauce players that think the NBA is an AAU summer camp or pick up basketball game.

I remember watching this video years ago and thinking you were wrong. You’re not wrong. Just you used a wrong example. Reed didn’t demand to go to the Knicks to make a super team. Lol he wanted to get paid so he literally picked the biggest market teams and the Bullets traded him to NY. But Shaq and Barkley both played on last chance super teams. Lol. So they were the walking hypocrites to highlight lol

You should do a video listing your top 25 players in the NBA right now like those guys on ESPN are doing and saying the most ridiculous shit while they're at it. For example Shaq said James Harden is #7 and Klay is #6 and his reasoning was "Anyone can have one good season." I want a real list with real explanations and judging from how knowledgeable you are I think you'd be the perfect one to do it.

I was mad at KD because he snaked Westbrook. I don't care about the super team in San Francisco. Moses had a shit team. Earl Monroe was finessed and he wanted to win I got no respect for him because he went to his rival. Lebron Joined his homie d wade, at the time they weren't very good (bosh joined after Lebron). You make some very good points, but some I disagree with because KD had a good team core, with countless accolades, he just left instead of staying in OKC. Because remember that they had a 3-1 lead also so they were one step away from the finals but he left because he knew that they were going to dominate the NBA and it doesn't matter

Koh Smoger Yo, don’t be having some complex when people around the country refer to SF instead of Oakland for the Dubs. Warriors are and will be the Bay Area’s team, so it’s not just SF, or Oakland, or any city. Any Greater Bay Area city has claim to the Dubs, and if you want to get even more technical, the franchise was smart and changed the name from the SAN FRANCISCO Warriors when then first came from Philadelphia, to the Golden State Warriors, so- technically, if you live in California, you can rep the Warriors. They expanded their market, not limited to one city, but a whole state. I feel like your comment, being you’re an A’s fan, that you’re mad homie said San Francisco- because you must not like the Giants, and don’t like people overlooking Oakland. While the Raiders are leaving, and now the Warriors are coming BACK to the City, don’t be hating. Dubs will always be the Bay’s team, but don’t forget they started out West in the City.

KD didn’t “snake” Westbrook. Westbrook’s ballhogging ass snaked KD year after year by not being a good teammate and padding his stats. No wonder KD left.
@Dhoov52
@Dhoov52 6 жыл бұрын
jdrive03 I agree with the ball hogging and stat padding. Westbrook is a dumbass to me but that same guy helped them get to the finals in 2012. That same guy helped them have all the success they are having and he was a reason they were up 3-1 against the Warriors in 2016 (When most people didn’t think they had a chance based off of how they got beaten during the regular season). I don’t like Westbrook. He’s not my kind of player but I do respect him and for those who blame him for “choking” in 2016, it’s false because Westbrook made the same fuck ups he had been making going back to at least the 2011 playoffs against the Mavs. KD choked. Didn’t perform to his usual level of play and umm... don’t forget.... after he had been texting and being all buddy buddy with the Warriors players ALL YEAR LONG. But hey... 🤷🏾‍♂️
