My favorite parts of this are a.) Acknowledging that loving someone is a choice rather than just a feeling, and b.) The ending where yall acknowledge that sometimes those close to us hurt us unintentionally because of their sins. These are extremely important and valuable lessons and i appreciate yall so much for speaking the truth as a Christian family ❤

When I got a divorce, my aunt shared her thoughts with me at a large family gathering. She said that I wouldn't go to Heaven and that if i remarried, i would be an adulteress. That floored me! He and i had both fallen into alcoholism and he became abusive. It wasn't until he was swinging at me when i was holding my toddler that i ended it. I know God wouldn't have wanted me to stay there. I'm 16 years sober and he's still a raging alcoholic. I feel like it was definitely easier on my son to go through that as a toddler than if i had waited. It never even entered my mind that you two didn't work for what you have. It's odd to me that some folks think like that. You two are the cutest couple I've ever seen. I wish for your kind of relationship.
@AnyaB18

Well done for getting out of an abusive relationship but also banishing the toxicity that comes with addiction. That in itself is an incredible feat and to then add 16 years of sobriety? 🤯👏🏼 🙏🏼 You are a warrior and a beautiful example to your child. All the best!

You have become so wise, yes love is a choice and not just a feeling, and for your entire marriage, you hold onto that choice and be committed to your vows. When you have that commitment it forces you to work together and work things out instead of running away from problems or disagreements. In the end, it makes your bond stronger because your partner knows and trusts that you're not gonna run at the first sign of difficulty. You don't let your eye wonder when someone pays attention to you other than your spouse, as Satan will test your resolve and your commitment to your marriage and place people there to test it. Just hit 47 years with my wife on the 11th of September, she is my one and only and we met when we were both in bible college. Don't disappoint me down the road, stay committed.

I’m a traveling healthcare worker and my wife workers remote so she travels with me. Wee started our channel and our TikTok to document our adventures and experiences with family and friends back home. But, because of that people think we just have money and have this perfect life but like Hunter said I wish you could see the times that weren’t so great years ago. Everyone had a story that has molded them into who they are now. But, the good thing about this story is that it hasn’t ended yet. So you can make the story what you want! It is interesting how things change so much. I am in my early 70's, so I can look back at what a difference there is from my childhood to now. We now have so much more access to more advanced education then our parents had. Even child raising is different. I think now parents are exposed to more phycology in how to teach your children, if you choose to look for it. One thing I feel is important is teaching your children respect for themselves as well as respect for others. Also teaching them to never be afraid to come to you with questions and problems. I was always afraid I would be in trouble, even about things that were not my fault. In this crazy world, I think it is very important for parents teach your children about inappropriate touching and what to do when this happens. This is not just a current problem. It has been happening forever. It is now just brought more to our attention.

This is my third comment, your channel is so real and genuine in every way. Why I started watching more of your videos was because it began to influence me proactively. Your honesty really helps me and others I'm sure. Btw, Devin my birthday is a day after yours. Much love to the two of you. God bless. ❤❤.

You guys are truly phenomenal! Your honesty is refreshing! And I can safely say who cares if your Family has blessed with with anything....my Mom gifted me two homes in her passing. I was blessed and loved and admired my Mom...and I was a Foster child...parents love and give....jealousy is an ugly thing. Let the haters be haters...PS...loooovvee the accents!!

My parents divorced when I was in my mid 20s. They fought a lot when we were growing up, but it was really strange and hard to work through. I also live across the country from them so I am very much removed from the situation.
