I just have a small home studio for my own music. I started out with just my phone, a music creating app, a guitar, and a drum kit. Today I have much more than that but when I listen to my early music I'm still impressed how I did so much with so little. I didn't even know theory when I started, just some chords and what sounded good to my ear. Today there's so many ways to do music on every budget at every skill level. KZbin is like free college for musicians. I taught myself theory & how to play piano by using the internet. Is there gear I want & can't afford? ALWAYS! 😆 The gear doesn't write the music though. Limitations can force you to think outside the box. I find it's best to learn the gear you do have inside & out. Try using it in ways it wasn't intended, etc. Educate yourself, be true to yourself and have fun. ✌️

You’re preaching to the choir man! Your story sounds a lot like mine. I was in bands for a long time, but I taught myself piano and some music theory and had to become a one-man band. It’s so true, The gear does not write music for you.

Very true, thanks man! It’s much better to focus on technique and the “How” of things as opposed to the “what”.

Thank you man! I am an enthousiast recording my own stuff and this video just helped me focus on the right things (the music and the playing). I already have a bunch of nice plugins, some great instruments and some fine monitors. Now I need to focus on making great music! Have a nice day man!

Thanks man, you get it. it’s about making the best music you can with what you have. There are so many awesome tools out there where we don’t need to buy a bunch of analog gear. Thanks for watching, and the comment. If you have a link music I would love to check it out. Chris

Hey man! Sorry I am just now seeing this. KZbin doesn't show me all comments, so I have dig around to see you is replying. The song is cool, sounded very movie soundtrack and then it started to rock out. Very cool. Thanks for sharing. The guitar work is great! Very interested arrangement too. Definitely kept me listening. The changes are awesome! I hear some Tool influence, maybe Dream Theatre
